    • Rebounds vs. Nats
Wheeler (5-3) earned the win Friday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over 7.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It was an encouraging return to form for Wheeler after he was tagged for six runs over four innings by Miami in his last start. Before that outing, Wheeler had allowed just one earned run over four starts (25.1 innings). He's won five of his last six starts while lowering his ERA to 2.52 with a 0.97 WHIP and 71:19 K:BB over 60.2 innings this season. Wheeler is currently in line for a home matchup with the Rangers in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:20 pm

    • Zack Wheeler fans six in victory over Nationals
Zack Wheeler picked up his fifth victory of the season on Friday night, holding the Nationals to just two runs on three hits over 7 1/3 strong innings of work.

Advice: The 33-year-old right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while issuing three free passes. The Nationals’ scoring in the contest came on a pair of RBI doubles — one by Keibert Ruiz in the second inning and another off the bat of Eddie Rosario in the fifth. Aside from that though, Wheeler was in complete control. He got 17 swings and misses on 104 pitches on the night — 10 on his fastball alone — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 5-3 on the season, Wheeler will carry a 2.52 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 71/19 K/BB ratio (60 2/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the Rangers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:00 pm

    • Stanton back in the lineup Friday
Giancarlo Stanton is back in the lineup, batting fifth for the Yankees against the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Stanton had a routine day off on Thursday with the Yankees playing a day game after a night game. He’s past his prime at this point of his career, but the 34-year-old has still managed to blast nine home runs and 22 RBI in 144 at-bats this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:16 pm
    • Grabbing seat Friday
Suzuki is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Pirates.

Advice: Suzuki homered Wednesday in Atlanta but is just 6-for-26 at the dish since returning from the injured list. With Paul Skenes on the hill for the Pirates on Friday, a day off for Suzuki makes sense. Cody Bellinger will shift over to right field while Pete Crow-Armstrong handles center and Mike Tauchman serves as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:37 am

    • Happ moves into the No. 2 hole Friday
Ian Happ will bat second for the Cubs on Friday.

Advice: With Seiya Suzuki getting the day off, Happ will occupy the No. 2 spot in the order for the Cubs. He hit a solo home run on Thursday, but now draws a tough assignment against Pirates top pitching prospect Paul Skenes on Friday afternoon. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:33 am

    • Suzuki gets day off Friday
Seiya Suzuki is not in the Cubs lineup for Friday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Suzuki started and batted second against the Pirates on Thursday. Pete Crow-Armstrong will get to start in center with Cody Bellinger shifting to right field. Suzuki is hitting .282 with an .826 OPS this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:30 am

    • Takes live batting practice
Swanson (knee) took live batting practice Friday, Ryan Herrera of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Swanson landed on the 10-day injured list a week ago with a right knee injury. He'll be eligible for activation Saturday, but while it appears he is making progress, it seems unlikely that he will be ready at that time. With Nico Hoerner (hamstring) also banged up, the Cubs' shortstop depth has thinned, and Miles Mastrobuoni has started the last three games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 am

    • Swats solo homer
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run during Thursday's 6-5 win over the Phillies in extra innings.

Advice: Alonso tagged Taijuan Walker (foot) for a solo shot in the first inning, putting the first baseman at 10 homers this season. He's now tied for the fourth-most home runs in the NL and owns a .772 OPS with 23 RBI and 27 runs through 164 at-bats. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:48 pm

    • Alonso goes deep Thursday
Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: The homer was Alonso’s 10th of the season. He’s probably having his worst season of his career so far. Still, Alonso is one of the most reliable players in fantasy baseball and we’ll almost certainly still be looking at close to 40 home runs and 100 RBI from him at the end of the season.
