    • Jordan Westburg leaves game with hip discomfort
Jordan Westburg was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Yankees with left hip discomfort.

Advice: Westburg collided awkwardly with Yankees slugger Juan Soto while fielding a first-inning grounder at third base and was lifted from the contest in the ensuing frame. It sounds like his early exit was merely for precautionary reasons, but he’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to rule out anything serious. The 25-year-old holds an .836 OPS with 11 homers and six steals in 275 plate appearances this season. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Exits early with hip injury
Westburg left Tuesday's contest with the Yankees in the bottom of the second inning with left hip discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Westburg struck out swinging to open the game in the top of the first inning and he was later removed from the contest in the bottom of the second. Westburg will certainly undergo imaging on his hip to determine the severity of the injury, but in the meantime, Ramon Urias has replaced him at third base against New York. • Alek Manoah undergoes Tommy John surgery
Alek Manoah underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on Monday.

Advice: It ended up being a hybrid ligament replacement with an internal brace procedure that is expected to keep Manoah sidelined for the next 12-14 months. The 26-year-old righty wound up making just five starts this season for Toronto. At this point, it’s getting difficult to envision him being fantasy-relevant ever again. • Without return timeline
Trout (knee) said Tuesday that his recovery from meniscus surgery has gone slower than expected and that he's without an official timetable for return, Sam Blum of The Athleticreports.

Advice: The 32-year-old underwent the procedure to repair a torn meniscus in early May and has yet to start up a running program. Trout is currently trying to find exercises that allow him to progress with minimal soreness, so he doesn't appear particularly close to baseball work. Barring a significant improvement in the near future, Trout seems likely to be sidelined well beyond the All-Star break in mid-July. Rotowire.com Today, 4:09 pm

    • William Contreras back in lineup Tuesday vs. Halos
William Contreras is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Contreras is back at designated hitter following a one-game absence for precautionary reasons following a scary-looking home-plate collision over the weekend. The positive development here for the Brewers, and fantasy managers, is that the 26-year-old backstop has been cleared of a potential concussion. Rotoworld Today, 3:45 pm
    • Back in lineup Tuesday
Contreras (head) is serving as the Brewers' designated hitter and batting second Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Contreras had to sit out Monday's contest after he was hit in the head during a play at the plate Sunday. He now seems to be in good enough shape to play again, though it will be Gary Sanchez behind the dish catching for Tobias Myers. Contreras still holds a .305 batting average on the season, but he has struggled to find consistent success recently, slashing just .232/.246/.321 since the start of June. Rotowire.com Today, 3:25 pm
    • Mike Trout (knee) remains without return timeline
Mike Trout (knee) told reporters Tuesday that he hasn’t resumed running and remains without a definitive return timeline.

Advice: Trout added that his recovery from last month’s surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee has been progressing slower than he wants, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence that he’ll make it back at any point in the near future. The 32-year-old generational talent is roughly six weeks removed from the procedure and there isn’t any sort of timeline for his potential return at this juncture. Rotoworld Today, 2:41 pm

    • Absent from Cubs lineup
Morel is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Morel has only one hit over his last five games and tough right-hander Logan Webb will take the ball Tuesday for San Francisco, so it's a sensible spot for a day off. David Bote is getting the call at third base while Morel regroups. Rotowire.com Today, 1:59 pm

    • Sitting against southpaw
O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees. Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will avoid a matchup with LHP Nestor Cortes on Tuesday, giving up DH duties to Adley Rutschman while James McCann catches. Rotowire.com Today, 12:34 pm
