• Mitch Spence goes three innings against Rockies
Mitch Spence allowed two runs with four strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Spence served up a two-run homer to Elias Díaz in the first inning. He then loaded the bases before he was able to escape the inning. Spence loaded the bases once again in the third, but was able to keep the Rockies off the board. He was done after three innings at 70 pitches, scattering five hits and three walks with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 30/11 K/BB ratio across 33 innings. He’s in line for a start against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:51 pm

  • Pulls Marlins to win
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Chisholm clubbed a leadoff homer in the first inning off Freddy Peralta, a long ball that ended up being the difference. In his last 16 games, Chisholm is batting .308 with three home runs, 13 runs and four stolen bases. The 26-year-old is one of seven players with at least seven long balls and nine stolen bases, joining Elly De La Cruz, Bobby Witt, Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Kyle Tucker on the exclusive list. • Matt Olson slugs solo homer against Cubs
Matt Olson went 2-for-5 with a solo homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Olson is having a much better month at the plate after a cold start in April, with multiple hits in five of his last nine games. He sent one over the fence in this one, taking Jose Cuas deep for a solo homer in the seventh inning. The 30-year-old slugger is hitting .228/.325/.415 with seven homers and 26 RBI across 197 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm
  • Adam Duvall goes yard in win over Cubs
Adam Duvall went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Duvall put the Braves on the board with a two-run blast off Justin Steele in the third inning. He was later hit by a pitch in the seventh and scored on a sacrifice fly by Ozzie Albies. The 35-year-old outfielder has generally been limited to starts against left-handed pitching. He’s slashing .208/.310/.361 with three homers and 10 RBI across 84 plate appearances. • Jazz Chisholm hits solo homer in win
Jazz Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Wednesday against the Brewers.

Advice: Chisholm’s first-inning home run wound up being the only run scored in the pitcher’s duel between Jesús Luzardo and Freddy Peralta. That was his second lead-off home run this season and the seventh of his career as he’s very casually up to seven homers and nine steals on the campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:49 pm
  • Goes deep again Tuesday
McMahon went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

Advice: McMahon kicked off the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning off of Aaron Brooks for his only hit of the evening. He's now upped his hitting streak to nine games and is slashing .378/.310/.676 with three homers, seven RBI and nine runs scored. He's maintained an average north of .300 for the majority of the season thus far and is currently riding a streak of 19 consecutive plate appearances without striking out. • Awarded second start
Spence is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Rockies in Oakland.

Advice: He'll be making his second straight turn through Oakland's injury-depleted rotation. After working mostly as a long reliever for the first seven weeks of the season, Spence was already fairly stretched out for his first MLB start last Friday in Kansas City. He tossed 4.2 innings (77 pitches) and took a loss to the Royals while striking out four and giving up one earned run on five hits and one walk. The Athletics should give Spence a longer leash Wednesday if he pitches as efficiently against the Rockies as he did in his 4.2 innings in Kansas City. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 am

  • No longer expected to start
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that Nelson is unlikely to start Wednesday versus the Dodgers as previously scheduled, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Lovullo hinted that he would likely use an opening pitcher in front of Nelson, adding that the team plans to make a roster move ahead of Wednesday's series finale. Though he likely won't be in line for a traditional start, Nelson should still be in store to handle the bulk of the innings out of the bullpen, and the arrangement may set him up better to come away with a win. • Goes deep in win
Walker went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker led off the top of the sixth inning with a solo homer. The blast was Walker's ninth and tied him for the team lead with Ketel Marte. May has not been kind to Walker, who is batting .194 with a .606 OPS through 18 games, but he continues to lead the Diamondbacks with 31 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:44 am
