    • J.D. Martinez drives in pair in win over Phillies
J.D. Martinez drove in a pair of runs in a victory over the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: Martinez tied the game at 3-3 with a two-run single in the sixth inning. The 36-year-old has driven in 18 runs since joining the Mets near the end of April and slashed .271/.323/.444 in the process. Rotoworld Today, 10:40 am

    • Not starting Sunday
Baez is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Brewers.

Advice: Baez will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after starting in each of the first two games of the series, going 1-7 with two strikeouts. The lefty-hitting Zach McKinstry will start at shortstop and bat seventh against Milwaukee right-hander Bryse Wilson. Rotowire.com Today, 7:05 am

    • Taylor Ward walks three times in loss to Astros
Taylor Ward walked three times on Saturday in the Angels’ loss to the Astros.

Advice: Ward has been at the epicenter of recent trade speculation leading up to next month’s All-Star break and figures to be on the move at some point with the Angels not really in contention this season. The 30-year-old outfielder, who holds a robust .770 OPS with 11 homers and two steals through 63 games this season, isn’t a free agent until 2027, so he’s going to require a considerable haul to pry him loose from Los Angeles. • Freddie Freeman doubles twice in blowout win
Freddie Freeman doubled twice and drove home a pair of runs in a blowout win Saturday over the Yankees.

Advice: One of the doubles was a rare misplay from Alex Verdugo, but it still counts in the scoreboard. The 34-year-old now has doubled 19 times on the season while driving in 40 runs. Even with a mediocre May, Freeman’s slash of .293/.399/.488 is awfully hard to complain about. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:04 pm
    • Up to 11 saves
Doval earned the save in Saturday's 3-1 win over Texas, working around a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Things got dicey for Doval in the ninth, as the Rangers got the tying runs into scoring position with two outs. However, the right-hander would coax a flyout off the bat of Leody Taveras to lock down his 11th save of the year and his second in as many days. The 26-year-old Doval lowered his ERA to 3.91 with a 1.58 WHIP and 31:18 K:BB across 25.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:33 pm
    • Blasts solo home run
Garver went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Royals.

Advice: The designated hitter took Alec Marsh deep in the fifth inning to tie up the score. It was Garver's seventh homer of the season and his second in his last three games. Garver has struggled to the tune of a .180/.292/.348 line thus far, but he may be starting to turn it around with eight RBI and four extra-base hits over his last six games. • Camilo Doval locks down 11th save vs. Rangers
Camilo Doval tossed a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Doval was summoned with a two-run lead to close out the game in the ninth. He walked the leadoff man and gave up a single to bring the go-ahead run to the plate with one out. He induced a groundout and a fly out to end the game and secure the win for the Giants, picking up his 11th save. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:49 pm
    • Mitch Garver homers and walks in loss to Royals
Mitch Garver homered and walked in a loss Saturday to the Royals.

Advice: Garver kept a ball just inside the left-field foul pole to pick up his seventh homer of the year. The 33-year-old also drew a walk to improve his slash to .180/.292/.348. It’s worth pointing out that he’s registered an OPS of .937 in June, however, and he’s a good bet to hit (much) better over the second half of 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:34 pm
