The Seattle right-hander was cruising through three scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fourth, rounded out with a three-run blast by MJ Melendez. The outing pushed Miller's WHIP north of one, as it now stands at 1.02 to go with a 3.81 ERA over 75.2 innings.       Logan Webb pitched the Giants past the Rangers with seven innings of two-run ball on Friday.

      Advice: Webb’s peripherals aren’t up to par, but tonight will help. He struck out six while walking none, and all five hits he allowed should have been singles (Wyatt Langford turned one into a double with his speed).       Camilo Doval was perfect in the ninth for a save in a 5-2 game against the Rangers on Friday.

      Advice: Doval was pitching for the first time since giving up four runs in a blown save and a loss to the Yankees on Sunday.     • Bryce Miller struggles over five in no-decision
      Bryce Miller gave up seven runs in five innings but didn’t factor in the decision against the Royals on Friday.

      Advice: Miller was handed an 8-0 lead, but he nearly gave it all back himself. The right-hander walked three while allowing eight hits — including a three-run homer to MJ Melendez — and he struck out just one in his worst start of the season.       Webb (5-5) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Rangers.

      Advice: Webb kept Texas off the board for four frames before the Rangers plated two runs in the fifth inning. Outside of that inning, he allowed just one baserunner. Webb threw seven innings in his last outing but saw his streak of four straight quality starts come to an end. With Friday's quality start in the books, he has 10 in his 14 appearances this season.       Doval struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Rangers on Friday.

      Advice: Doval fired 10 of 15 pitches to quickly retire the Ragners' 3-4-5 hitters in order and finish off the 5-2 win. It was his first appearance since coughing up four runs against the Yankees on June 2. Doval has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances and Friday was his first successful attempt since May 24.       CJ Abrams went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base against the Braves on Friday.

      Advice: Abrams’ steal was his ninth of the season. After racking up 47 steals last year, fantasy managers sure would like to see him run more this year.       Patrick Wisdom went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as the Cubs’ leadoff man Friday against the Reds.

      Advice: Wisdom had never before led off a game until this season. The Cubs have tried it three times versus southpaws and watched him go 2-for-12 with seven strikeouts and no runs scored.       Freeman went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 11-7 win over Pittsburgh.

      Advice: Freeman helped Los Angeles' offense get off to a fast start with his three-run blast in the first inning. The long ball extended his modest hitting streak to five games, during which he has slashed .389/.455/.889 with two homers, five RBI, five runs and two steals.
