      Senga (shoulder) completed a 32-pitch live batting practice session Saturday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

      Advice: Facing hitters in extended live BP session marks a major milestone in Senga's recovery from a right posterior shoulder capsule strain, which caused him to miss most of spring training and resulted in him opening the season on the 15-day injured list before he was shifted to the 60-day IL on April 10. He won't be eligible to make his season debut until May 27, but Senga appears on target to return on or around that date based on where he currently stands in his recovery. The Mets will see how he bounces back from Saturday's throwing session over the next couple of days before deciding whether he's ready to report to a minor-league affiliate to begin a rehab assignment, or if he'll need to throw another live BP before doing so.       Advice: Senga has now faced live hitters twice this week. The Mets will now determine the next steps for the right-hander in the coming days, as they want to see how he responds before deciding when he’ll begin a rehab assignment. There’s a very good chance he does begin that assignment at this point, however, and he’s on track to make his return around May 27 — the earliest Senga can be activated off the 60-day IL. He would add two more hits on the night, including a two-run homer off Brandon Hughes in the seventh as the Padres ran away with their fourth straight win. The veteran outfielder has now ripped off three or more hits in three of his last four games and has hit safely in nine of his last 10.       Pfaadt (1-2) took the loss against the Padres on Saturday, allowing five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over six innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Pfaadt struggled with San Diego's lineup throughout the contest, allowing hits to three of the first four batters he faced and surrendering three runs over the first four innings - though one of those wouldn't be charged to him on account of a fielding error by Blaze Alexander. The right-hander was later relieved by Brandon Hughes in the seventh after surrendering back-to-back singles to open the frame, which led to an eight-run inning for the Padres. Despite his struggles on the night, Pfaadt still managed to log his second-consecutive quality start and has now posted a 15:0 K:BB over his last two outings.       Ruiz suffered a wrist injury on a diving catch in the sixth inning of Saturday's win over the Marlins and was removed from the game, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Ruiz appeared to hurt his glove hand and remained down for a brief time following the catch, cradling his left wrist as he exited the field with team trainers.     • Jurickson Profar has jack and a bag in victory
      Jurickson Profar went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a stolen base on Saturday night as the Padres demolished the Diamondbacks in San Diego.

      Advice: Profar didn’t seem to mind being dropped down to the fifth spot in the lineup following the addition of Luis Arraez. He reached on a fielder’s choice and swiped a base in the opening inning but was left stranded at second. He then led off the fourth inning with a single and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Luis Campusano. He also helped to pad the Padres’ lead with a 395-foot (102.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Brandon Hughes in the seventh inning, making it a 7-0 ballgame. Conventional wisdom says that he’ll eventually crash back to earth, but Profar is on top of the world right now.
