Logan Webb makes swift work of D-backs in win
Logan Webb fired seven shutout innings on Thursday in a win over the Diamondbacks.
Advice: Webb retired a career-high 19 consecutive batters following back-to-back singles from Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll, respectively, to open the contest before issuing a one-out walk to Christian Walker in the seventh inning. The 27-year-old workhorse, who finished with five strikeouts and only issued one walk, completed seven frames for the third consecutive start in this one. He’ll bring a sparkling 2.93 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 22/6 K/BB ratio across 30 2/3 innings (five starts) into another home outing on Tuesday against the Mets.
