    • Dealing with wrist contusion
Cooper (wrist) suffered a right wrist contusion in Tuesday's matchup with the Giants, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Cooper was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning, forcing him to be removed from his Red Sox debut early. The 33-year-old is likely set to undergo some additional imaging on his wrist, which will provide a better understanding of his status moving forward. In the meantime, Bobby Dalbec replaced Cooper at first base and would see an extended role in his absence. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago
    • Angels option Davis Daniel back to Triple-A
Angels optioned RHP Davis Daniel to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Daniel has been shipped out ahead of Tuesday’s contest against the Phillies after making three relief appearances this season for the Angels. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago
    • Walker Buehler completes five in latest rehab outing
Walker Buehler (elbow) allowed one run over five innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Buehler finished with five strikeouts, didn’t hand out a free pass, and threw 75 pitches (54 strikes). The hope for the Dodgers, and fantasy managers, is that the hard-throwing 29-year-old righty will be ready to make his season debut at some point next week, depending on how he comes out of this likely final rehab outing. Advice: Cooper was hit in the forearm/wrist with a 94.8 mph sinker from Sean Hjelle in the bottom of the fifth inning, leaving the contest after going 0-for-2 with two strikeouts and the HBP. Bobby Dalbec replaced him at first base, batting seventh for Boston. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
    • Garrett Cooper leaves game after hit by pitch
Garrett Cooper was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Giants with a right wrist contusion.

Advice: Cooper was drilled by a pitch on the right wrist and was immediately lifted from his Red Sox debut at Fenway Park. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to determine whether he suffered any fractures. There should be an update on his status following the contest. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago
    • Gary Sánchez leaves game with hamstring tightness
Gary Sánchez was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Rays with right hamstring tightness.

Advice: Sánchez was immediately lifted from the contest after reaching on a fielder’s choice in the opening frame. There should be an update on the severity of the injury following the contest. Any potential extended absence would presumably open up even more at-bats for top prospect Tyler Black moving forward. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago
    • Exits with injury
Sanchez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rays with right hamstring tightness.

Advice: Sanchez was grabbing at his hamstring after beating a throw to first base during the first inning, and he was quickly taken out of the game by a trainer. The severity of his injury isn't immediately apparent, but the Brewers will take a closer look at him in the clubhouse and should provide more information relatively soon. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago
    • Alek Manoah strikes out 12 in Triple-A start
Alek Manoah (shoulder) recorded 12 strikeouts and allowed one run over six innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: With a spot in Toronto’s starting rotation seemingly up for grabs with Yariel Rodríguez (back) landing on the injured list on Tuesday evening, Manoah turned in his best outing in recent memory, allowing just four baserunners over six impressive frames. His fastball velocity was back up into the mid-90’s and he generated 19 swinging strikes, including 13 on his slider alone, finishing with an elite 45 percent CSW. He figures to take the ball on Sunday against the Nationals, barring something unexpected. Rotoworld Today, 4:49 pm
    • Paul Skenes twirls six shutout frames at Triple-A
Pirates RHP prospect Paul Skenes struck out seven over six shutout innings on Tuesday for Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Skenes touched triple digits 13 times, averaging 99.8 mph on his four-seam fastball, and needed just 75 pitches (53 strikes) to complete six frames for the first time in his professional career. He generated 11 swinging strikes and finished with a 31 percent CSW, allowing only five baserunners over six dominant innings. We’re not sure what else Pittsburgh’s front office needs to see at this juncture. The 21-year-old top pitching prospect boasts a microscopic 0.39 ERA and 41/6 K/BB ratio across 23 innings (six starts). It’s time. Rotoworld Today, 4:45 pm
