• Absent from lineup versus lefty
Garcia is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: It will be southpaw Trevor Rogers on the hill for Miami, so the left-handed hitting Garcia will begin the contest on the bench. Switch hitter Ildemaro Vargas will occupy second base. Rotowire.com Today, 10:06 am
  • Phillies activate Brandon Marsh for Saturday return
Phillies activated OF Brandon Marsh from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Marsh is back in left field and batting seventh for Saturday’s contest against the Orioles following a two-week absence due to a right hamstring strain. The 26-year-old corner outfielder has compiled a solid .264/.344/.426 triple-slash line with six homers and eight steals in 186 plate appearances over 52 games so far. Rotoworld Today, 9:52 am
  • Activated from injured list
The Phillies activated Marsh (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marsh wound up missing just under two weeks of action with a right hamstring strain. He was cleared to return after going 4-for-8 with one walk in two rehab games with Double-A Reading. Marsh has slashed .265/.344/.426 with six homers and eight steals for the Phillies this season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:50 am
  • Abner Uribe to undergo right knee surgery
Abner Uribe will undergo right knee surgery.

Advice: Uribe picked up a handful of saves at the outset of the year for Milwaukee before struggling to the point that he was demoted by the start of May to Triple-A Nashville. The hard-throwing 23-year-old righty is expected to undergo a surgical procedure in the coming days to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee. Rotoworld Today, 9:02 am

  • Records 10th steal Friday
Moore went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in a win over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: One night after striking out four times in his return from a brief paternity leave, Moore made contact on all four plate appearances and followed his one hit with his 10th steal of the season. The veteran's swipe locked in his fifth double-digit tally in that category across six big-league seasons, but the knock was only his fifth across 38 plate appearances in June. • Undergoing knee surgery
Uribe will undergo surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Uribe landed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Nashville last week with the knee issue and the decision has been made to go under the knife. Brewers general manager Matt Arnold said the extent of the damage won't be known until the surgery is performed, but "it could just be a light cleanup." The hope is that Uribe will be able to return later this season, but more will be known following the operation. Rotowire.com Today, 8:11 am

  • Swipes two bags in win
Volpe went 1-for-5 with a run and two stolen bases Friday in an 8-1 victory versus the Red Sox.

Advice: Volpe made the most of his fifth-inning single, as he proceeded to steal both second and third base before coming home on an Alex Verdugo double. The second-year shortstop is up to 15 thefts (on 18 attempts) this season, which is tied for 13th in the league. Volpe's power is down in comparison to his rookie campaign, but he's reduced his strikeout rate from 27.8 percent to 21.3 percent, which has helped produce a much-improved .271/.329/.414 slash line. • Quality start against O's
Suarez came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The southpaw delivered his ninth quality start of the season on 88 pitches (57 strikes), but Suarez was denied his 11th win in a wild affair that saw half the game's runs cross the plate after the ninth inning. Since his nine-start win streak ended in late May, the 28-year-old has posted a 3.10 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB through 20.1 innings over four outings. Suarez's next scheduled trip to the mound is a home tilt next week against the Padres. Rotowire.com Today, 6:55 am
  • Collects 11th save
Estevez struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 8-6 win over the Giants.

Advice: The Giants made a late push for a comeback, but Estevez shut the door with a 17-pitch ninth inning. He's up to 11 saves this season, five of which have come over his last seven appearances. The closer has added a 3.86 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 20:3 K:BB and three blown saves through 21 innings. The Angels don't often have leads to protect, but Estevez should continue to close as long as he's with the team, though as a pending free agent, he will be a trade target over the next six weeks.
