    Fairbanks allowed one hit during one scoreless inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Orioles.

    Advice: Fairbanks worked around a two-out single to pick up his sixth save. It was his third save since May 11, when he made his return from a stint on the IL. Over the three weeks since his return, he's appeared in 10 games and has yet to allow an earned run while allowing nine baserunners and striking out nine over 10 innings.   • Michael King gets tough luck no decision vs KC
    Michael King allowed one run on four hits in seven innings in a no-decision against the Royals.

    Advice: King was all set to record the win with the Padres up 3-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. However, with their bullpen being taxed heavily over the last few days, the Padres had to go with Yuki Matsui to close the game, and he allowed three runs while only recording one out. King was only able to induce eight whiffs on 48 swings for a 17 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW, but he allowed an average exit velocity on all batted balls of just 84 mph.     Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Twins.

    Advice: Bregman is starting to heat up, collecting his fourth homer in six games along with adding his fifth multi-hit effort over the last eight. Sunday's performance lifted Bregman's slash line to .229/.287/.395 while during this recent eight-game run he's batting 12-for-32 (.375) with four homers, seven RBI and five runs scored.     Josh Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in a win over the Marlins on Sunday.

    Advice: Smith hasn’t gotten enough credit for the job he’s done since Josh Jung went down. The 26-year-old is hitting .287/.377/.425 with 28 runs scored, 22 RBI, three home runs, and three steals in 57 games. If fully healthy, Swanson has the ability to get going in the power department, as he hit 20 or more long balls in each of the last three seasons with the Cubs and Atlanta.
