    Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

    Advice: Despite the sparse stat line, Chisholm played a key role in the victory -- he smashed an infield single back at Will Smith in the seventh inning, and Nick Gordon came home with the winning run on the southpaw's throwing error.   • Notches sixth win
    Gausman (6-6) picked up the win Tuesday in a 9-4 victory over the Red Sox, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.

    Advice: A Vladimir Guerrero error let Gausman squeak out his seventh quality start of the season, but the rest of the damage off the right-hander came on a Rafael Devers solo shot in the second inning and a two-run blast over the Green Monster by Tyler O'Neill in the sixth. Gausman has been taken deep eight times in his last five outings, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a 4.45 ERA despite a 1.11 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB through 32.1 innings.   • Clubs homer in loss
    Santander went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

    Advice: Santander's up to 12 homers over 24 contests in June. The power surge is impressive, though he's losing a little consistency at the plate by going just 2-for-15 over the last four games. That quiet stretch has taken some of the wind out of his sails as he looks to get his season-long numbers at a respectable level.   • Pasquantino drives in lone run for Royals in loss
    Vinnie Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.

    Advice: Pasquantino singled in the first inning to score Maikel Garcia from third after Garcia walked to kick off the inning and subsequently stole two bases. It would be the only run the Royals would score on the night as they found themselves in a pitching duel between Yonny Chirinos and Seth Lugo.   • Gausman has quality start against Red Sox
    Kevin Gausman allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits in six innings in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

    Advice: Gausman struck out five and walked one on the day but did allow two home runs, which accounted for all but one of the runs scored against him. The 33-year-old’s fastball averaged 94 mph on the day, which is up from his season average and he got seven whiffs on 24 swings on that pitch. However, he was only able to get 10 whiffs overall on the day for a 20 percent whiff rate and 25 percent CSW. He had just a 38 percent zone rate on the splitter, and he’s been struggling to get whiffs on that pitch over the last few starts.   • Anthony Santander stays hot with another homer
    Anthony Santander slugged a solo homer on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

    Advice: Santander went deep off Guardians reliever Sam Hentges in the eighth inning of this one. He’s homered 12 times since the start of June and is up to 21 round-trippers on the year already. The 29-year-old’s batting average remains palatable and he remains a pretty strong three-category, power plus counting stats impact fantasy contributor. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:27 pm
     
  • Catching bullpen session
    Moreno (thumb) will catch Zac Gallen's (hamstring) bullpen session Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

    Advice: A sprained left thumb forced Moreno onto the injured list Saturday, and Wednesday's bullpen session will allow him to get a feel for how his thumb feels in his glove after a few days of recovery.   • Forced to IL with blister issue
    The Reds placed Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left finger blister.

    Advice: Lodolo battled the blister issue during his start this past Sunday against the Red Sox, and the Reds have opted to give the left-hander some down time in order to let the finger heal. He had been slated to start Friday in St. Louis, but the Reds will now need a substitute.   • Reds place Nick Lodolo on IL with finger blister
    Reds placed LHP Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 24, with a left finger blister.

    Advice: Lodolo was ineffective against the Red Sox on Sunday, and it’s possible the blister had something to do with the issue. He’ll be out of action for a couple of weeks, and it seems likely that Graham Ashcraft will take his spot in the rotation. In the meantime, Yosver Zulueta is up to take Lodolo’s spot on the roster.
