    Byron Buxton (knee) has joined the Twins in Cleveland and could be activated from the injured list as early as Saturday.

    Advice: The dynamic 30-year-old outfielder played in a pair of rehab games at Triple-A St. Paul without incident and as long as he’s feeling alright on Saturday it sounds like he’ll be cleared to return.     Ortega cleared waivers Friday and was sent outright to Triple-A Charlotte, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

    Advice: Ortega held the right to decline his outright assignment and elect free agency, but he will instead remain within the White Sox organization and look to turn things around in the minors.
