    • Disappoints again Monday
Sewald blew a save against Atlanta on Monday, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out one batter over one inning.

Advice: Sewald entered in the top of the ninth with Arizona holding a two-run lead and retired the first two batters he faced. However, he couldn't seal the deal, giving up a single followed by a game-tying two-run homer off the bat of Sean Murphy. The blown save was Sewald's third straight, and he's allowed seven runs on seven hits while serving up three homers over 1.2 innings during that span. Sewald had completed 17 straight scoreless appearances prior to the downturn, and manager Torey Lovullo confirmed after the contest that the veteran reliever will remain the team's closer for the time being, per Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. • Paul Sewald allows homer, blows third straight opp
Paul Sewald took a third straight blown save after giving up a two-run homer in the ninth Monday against the Braves.

Advice: Sewald had a 0.53 ERA until this miserable week resulted in his first three blown saves of the year, so he won’t lose his job just yet. Still, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to stash Kevin Ginkel if possible. That’s especially the case since these three losses that Sewald has contributed to make it more likely that the free agent-to-be will be traded before the deadline. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:22 pm
    • Swipes bag in Sunday's loss
Freeman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Freeman walked in the third and stole second base but was left there stranded with the bases loaded. It was just his fourth swipe of the year and his first since June 5. The 34-year-old has started off July well at the dish, tallying eight hits, six RBI and a 5:5 BB:K over his first six games of the month. It's a continuation of what he's been doing all season long, as he's slashing .301/.406/.506 with 13 homers, 58 RBI, 55 runs and a 54:61 BB:K in 399 plate appearances. • Ketel Marte (back) returns from two-game absence
Ketel Marte is back at second base on Monday after missing two games with back tightness.

Advice: He’s hitting second, as per usual. Kevin Newman returns to the bench with Marte back. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:36 pm

    • Returns to Arizona lineup
Marte (back) will start at second base and bat second in Monday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Marte had to depart a game this past Friday with a back issue and then sat out the next two contests. However, he's feeling well enough to give it a go in the series opener versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:56 pm

    • Marcell Ozuna to take part in Home Run Derby
Marcell Ozuna will participate in the Home Run Derby, MLB announced.

Advice: We’re not sure what exact home run/arrest ratio is necessary to get back into MLB’s good graces, but Ozuna seems to have exceeded it. On performance alone, he’s obviously a deserving choice. He’s at 23 homers right now after finishing with 40 last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm

    • Goes deep Sunday
Profar went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 9-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Profar's first-inning blast was the only run the Padres were able to muster up on the afternoon. He's now homered in three of his last four games and has an RBI in four straight. The 31-year-old also has at least one hit in 18 of his last 19 games. Profar is now slashing .315/.408/.498 with 14 homers, 59 RBI, 52 runs and a 46:56 BB:K in 372 plate appearances. • Goes yard
Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Santander got the Orioles on the board in the first inning, tagging Oakland starter Mitch Spence for a solo shot. The long ball was Santander's ninth of the last 21 games, bringing his season total to 23 homers. Only Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani and Gunnar Henderson have hit more round trippers than Santander.
