    • Andrew Vaughn goes 0-for-3 in loss to Royals
Andrew Vaughn went 0-for-3 on Sunday, leaving him in a 2-for-22 slump.

Advice: Vaughn was on a nice roll before this, and he’s hardly the only White Sox hitter struggling even more than usual at the moment; the team has scored a total of eight runs during this six-game losing skid. He remains an option in deeper mixed leagues, but he’ll probably be a weaker one in 10 days, after the White Sox trade off at least Tommy Pham and maybe Luis Robert Jr. from their already impotent lineup. • Four hits in doubleheader
Contreras went 4-for-9 with one RBI and one run scored across both games of Saturday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

Advice: Contreras notched his fourth multi-hit effort over 15 games in July with a three-hit game in the nightcap. The catcher looks like he hasn't missed a beat since returning from a broken forearm in late June, batting .278 with four homers and 13 RBI over 22 contests following a six-week absence. He's up to a .280/.404/.511 slash line with 10 homers, 25 RBI, 32 runs scored, 13 doubles and three stolen bases through 53 games this season. Manager Oliver Marmol has committed to keeping Contreras in the lineup, so he should start at either catcher or designated hitter on a near-everyday basis. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:13 am
    • Could begin rehab assignment soon
Lewis (adductor) is expected to head out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment next week, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Lewis started running and taking batting practice during the All-Star break, and he may need only a few games in the minors before he's activated from the 10-day injured list. He's on the IL for the second time this season, after he had previously missed nearly 10 weeks due to a strained right quadricep, which he suffered Opening Day. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:21 am

    • Homers, stays hot in win
Rooker went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Angels.

Advice: Rooker crushed a three-run home run that traveled 445 feet in the first inning and then singled and scored in the fourth. He was intentionally walked in the seventh. The All-Star break didn't slow the 29-year-old down, and he's now logged eight multi-hit efforts in July with seven long balls and 18 RBI. On the season, he's hitting .294 with 22 homers, 65 RBI, 47 runs scored and five steals across 352 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:19 pm
    • Brent Rooker belts three-run homer in win
Brent Rooker went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, two runs scored, and a walk to lead the A’s to an 8-2 win over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Rooker continued his hot streak on Saturday, starting with a three-run blast in the first inning off Jack Kochanowicz. It was his fourth home run in his last four games. He later knocked a base hit in the fourth and score on a bases-loaded walk. Rooker was intentionally walked in the seventh to reach for a third time. The 29-year-old slugger is enjoying a career season, slashing .294/.372/.579 with 22 homers, 65 RBI, and five steals across 352 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:41 pm
    • Royce Lewis (groin) nearing rehab assignment
Twins’ manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters on Saturday that Royce Lewis (groin) could potentially begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: Baldelli noted that Lewis has been hitting and running without any issues and did so again on Saturday. He should only need a couple of games at the minor league level before he’s ready to rejoin the Twins’ offense. With Carlos Correa (heel) sidelined, they could certainly use his bat in the middle of the lineup. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:49 pm

    • Pilfers 24th bag
Thomas went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Reds.

Advice: The outfielder continues to do damage on the basepaths in July. Thomas is up to 24 steals on the season, and seven of them have come in his last 12 games -- a stretch in which he's batting .319 (15-for-47). His homer drought stands at 24 games, however, something that won't help the Nationals extract maximum value for the 28-year-old if they elect to move him at the trade deadline. • Collects three RBI in win
Volpe went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Friday's 6-1 win versus Tampa Bay.

Advice: The New York shortstop cracked a bases-clearing double in the third inning to extend the Yankees' lead to 4-0. This performance marks Volpe's third three-RBI game of the season. Perhaps this game's success will spur the 23-year-old on to a better second half, as he entered the evening hitting a miserable .143 (12-for-84) with eight runs scored and five RBI over his previous 20 games. • Aaron Judge to bat cleanup for AL All-Stars
Aaron Judge will bat cleanup for the American League in Tuesday’s All-Star Game.

Advice: It seems Bruce Bochy disagrees with Aaron Boone in using Judge as a No. 2 hitter. He has Judge batting behind Steven Kwan, Gunnar Henderson and Juan Soto on Tuesday, so unless someone gets on base, we’ll miss out on a Paul Skenes-Judge matchup. Rounding out the lineup behind Judge will be Yordan Alvarez, José Ramírez, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Adley Rutschman and Marcus Semien. Rotoworld Monday, 1:12 pm
