• Heading to bench Wednesday
Fry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: After leaving Sunday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays earlier due to elbow inflammation, Fry returned to the lineup as a designated hitter for both of the Guardians' first two games in Baltimore, going 2-for-8 with two doubles and an RBI. The Guardians haven't indicated that Fry is dealing with a setback with the elbow, so his absence from the lineup Wednesday is likely just a pre-planned maintenance day. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

  • Draws start in left field
Kjerstad will start in left field and bat seventh in Wednesday's contest against the Guardians.

Advice: The left-handed hitting Kjerstad sat out Tuesday's game versus a southpaw, but he's now started both contests against right-handers since his recall Monday. Kjerstad had two hits -- including a double -- in Monday's game. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

  • Brandon Marsh homers, plates four to lead Phillies
Brandon Marsh went 4-for-4 with a homer and four RBI on Wednesday afternoon, leading the Phillies to a 6-2 victory over the Tigers in Detroit.

Advice: Marsh tagged Tigers’ rookie right-hander Keider Montero for a 359-foot (100.6 mph EV) two-run shot in the fourth inning that gave the Phillies a 3-1 lead they would never relinquish. He added on a two-run single in the fifth inning that made it 5-1 as well but was then gunned down attempting to steal second base. With his four-hit attack, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .269/.345/.425 with seven homers, 31 RBI and eight stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Matt Vierling clobbers leadoff home run in loss
Matt Vierling clobbered a leadoff home run off of Spencer Turnbull on Wednesday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Tigers past the Phillies.

Advice: The 27-year-old slugger evened the score at a run apiece when he crushed the second pitch that Turnbull threw for a 413-foot (106.1 mph EV) solo shot to start the home half of the first inning. He also smacked a leadoff double off of Jose Alvarado to start the ninth inning, finishing the day 2-for-4. For the season, Vierling is now hitting .254/.288/.449 with 10 dingers and 32 RBI. • Not in Baltimore lineup
Cowser is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Cowser belted his 10th home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Guardians, but he nonetheless finds himself on the bench for the second time during the three-game series. Cedric Mullins will be in center field and Heston Kjerstad will handle left. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

  • Luke Raley scratched due to sore shoulder
Luke Raley didn’t play Wednesday due to a sore shoulder, the Mariners finally disclosed.

Advice: They could have said this when they scratched him before the game, but that’s no fun. Manager Scott Servais hopes to have Raley back Friday after the off day tomorrow. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Misses game with sore shoulder
Mariners manager Scott Servais said Raley was scratched from the lineup ahead of Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Rays due to a sore shoulder, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Raley had been slated to start in left field, but the Mariners dropped him from the lineup after his shoulder wouldn't fully loosen up on him in the batting cage prior to the game. The Mariners don't seem to be too concerned about the issue, as Servais said he's hopeful that Raley will be ready to go for this weekend's series versus Minnesota following Thursday's team off day, per Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com. • Colton Cowser sits against Guardians on Wednesday
Even though he homered Tuesday, Colton Cowser is on the bench in favor of Heston Kjerstad on Wednesday.

Advice: This hardly seems fair to Cowser. A left-handed hitter, he’s now been on the bench the last two times the Orioles have faced a righty and started both games against lefties, even though he has perfectly normal splits (.769 OPS versus righties, .679 OPS against lefties). If the Orioles keep using him like this, there’s a good chance they’ll eventually have a better excuse for sending him down. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Out of lineup against lefty again
Peralta is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Peralta will take a seat for the third game in a row, with the Padres having faced left-handed starting pitchers in each of those contests. The Padres should still have a regular spot in the lineup for Peralta against right-handed pitching, and Fernando Tatis' (quadricep) recent move to the injured list likely gives Peralta a longer leash. Peralta has gotten off to a slow start since joining the Padres' active roster May 22, slashing .200/.302/.236 with no home runs over 63 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
