• Hits first 2024 home run
Kreidler went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Twins.

Advice: It was a rare display of power for Kreidler, who hit his first home run since the 2022 season. The utility man has been seeing more time at shortstop recently with Javier Baez (back) on the injured list, though Zach McKinstry has the slight edge in playing time at the moment. Neither player is a great offensive option, and fantasy managers can mostly look elsewhere, particularly with Baez beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday and likely back soon. • Kreidler hits second career homer vs. Twins
Ryan Kreidler went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

Advice: Kreidler hit a 400-foot shot in the top of the fifth to score Akil Baddoo and give the Tigers a 3-2 lead. It was the first home run of the season for Kreidler and just the second of his three-year career in which he’s played just 52 big league games. It was a nice moment for Kreidler, but there’s no fantasy upside here. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:11 pm

  • Tyler Freeman has two hits, HR in win
Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was Freeman’s seventh of the season to go along with 30 RBI. Despite some concerns about his playing time, Freeman has started five of the last six games in center field for the Guardians. His expected stats still suggest there should be some batting average gains coming for the 25-year-old, but he might never be a real asset in that category. Still, given his most power/speed upside and regular role, Freeman is worth rostering in deeper formats. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:31 pm

  • Ceddanne Rafaela hits three-run homer in victory
Ceddanne Rafaela clobbered a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Red Sox’ lopsided win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela took Marlins rookie starter Valente Bellozo deep to left field for a no-doubter in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment. If this is the starting point, he’s going to be an extremely impactful fantasy contributor for a long time, even if the plate skills only marginally improve. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:14 pm

  • Launches rehab assignment
Baez (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

Advice: Baez has been out since June 11 while dealing with lumbar inflammation, but he now appears to be on the cusp of returning to the major-league roster. The shortstop will likely play in multiple games with Toledo before being activated from the 10-day injured list. Baez has struggled to a .183/.209/.247 slash line with one home run, 25 RBI, 15 runs scored and six stolen bases over 53 games this season, not providing much value to fantasy managers. • Javier Báez (back) starting rehab assignment
Javier Báez (back) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: Báez has been on the shelf since mid-June due to back inflammation and will likely need at least a handful of rehab contests to get back up to speed. It would be an understatement to say that his time in Detroit has been a colossal disappointment since signing a six-year, $140 million deal as a free agent back in 2022. • Back in action
Brujan (undisclosed) is batting seventh and playing second base Tuesday against Boston.

Advice: Brujan was scratched from Saturday's game against Philadelphia for unspecified reasons and remained out of the lineup for Sunday's contest. However, he'll enter the starting nine at second base Tuesday while Xavier Edwards plays shortstop. With Tim Anderson booted from the 40-man roster, Brujan should see regular playing time in the infield moving forward. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:54 am

  • Slated for more time at third base
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Taylor will have more of a "runway" to play third base, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Third base has been a weakness for the Dodgers since Max Muncy landed on the injured list with an oblique injury May 17. The team made a trade in mid-June for Cavan Biggio, but he's struggled to a .188 batting average and 33.3 percent strikeout rate in 12 games with Los Angeles. Taylor had a disastrous start to the campaign -- he was hitting .095 with a 39.2 percent punchout rate over 36 contests through June 6 -- but has turned things around of late, slashing .385/.448/.731 with four extra-base hits (including two homers), four RBI, seven runs and two thefts over his past 11 games. He started at third base Sunday against San Francisco and collected a home run, a double and two RBI, and Roberts has indicated that Taylor will start at the hot corner again in the team's next game (Tuesday versus Arizona), per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. If Taylor keeps his momentum going, he could keep the primary third base job until Muncy returns to action, which likely won't happen until after the All-Star break. Biggio and Enrique Hernandez are the other options to log time at the hot corner for the time being. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:59 am

  • Knocks three-run blast
Neto went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's loss to Detroit.

Advice: Neto's home run was part of the Angels' five-run ninth inning, but the comeback attempt fell just short. It was his 11th long ball of the year and snapped a 10-game homerless drought. Neto posted a .780 OPS in June, bumping his season slash line to .249/.301/.437 with 30 extra-base hits and 38 RBI through 300 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Jul 1, 6:32 am
