• Recalled, placed on 15-day IL
Waguespack was recalled from Triple-A Durham and placed on the 15-day injured list due to a shoulder injury Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Topkin notes that the club has elected to promote Waguespack and place him on the injured list so that if he were to have a setback and require a longer shutdown period, Tampa Bay could shift him to the 60-day IL to clear up a spot on the 40-day roster. The club has yet to disclose any details on Waguespack's injury. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Rays recall Jacob Waguespack; place him on injured list
Rays recalled RHP Jacob Waguespack and placed him on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder strain.

Advice: This is a weird one. Waguespack is called up just to be placed on the injured list, with Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times explaining it that they can move him to the 60-day injured list if there’s a setback which would create a space on the 40-man roster. • Mitch Keller pitches complete game versus Angels
Mitch Keller pitched his second-career complete game on Monday and picked up his third win of the season against the Angels.

Advice: Pittsburgh’s ace went the distance on Monday as he allowed just one earned run on five hits and stuck out five. His lone run came off a solo homer from Zach Neto. Keller threw 109 total pitches with 75 of them called strikes. In the final frame, Keller got Mickey Moniak and Taylor Ward to strike out and then had Willie Calhoun pop up to left center field. It was an efficient outing from the right-hander as he’ll look to improve his 4.41 ERA against the Cubs this weekend at PNC Park. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

  • Tyler Anderson picks up fourth loss against Pirates
Tyler Anderson allowed four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in a loss against the Pirates on Monday.

Advice: Anderson has recorded a loss in four of his past five starts after picking up back-to-back wins in his first two starts of the season. His ERA has ballooned from 1.78 to 2.74 over his last two starts as the 34-year-old has given up 3 or more earned runs in those contests. After a hot start to the season, it appears regression has hit Anderson, which was to be expected. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

  • Blake Snell (adductor) to throw to hitters Tuesday
Blake Snell (adductor) will face live hitters for three innings Tuesday.

Advice: Snell came away from his bullpen session over the weekend well, and will now progress to facing hitters in as simulated setting. The southpaw could begin a rehab assignment a few days later if that assignment goes the way it’s supposed to. Snell could be back with the Giants by the end of the month. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago

  • Keeps cruising Monday
Wentz tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Advice: Wentz relieved starter Jack Flaherty and kept Detroit in the game, as the lefty continued his excellent start to the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.68 and now has 18 strikeouts across 13.1 innings. Wentz flopped as a starter last year but has reinvented himself as an effective long reliever. It's not the most fantasy-friendly role, but he could help with ratios, strikeouts and the occasional win in deeper formats. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

  • Jack Flaherty strikes out six, allows two runs vs. CLE
Jack Flaherty yielded two earned runs and struck out six batters in six innings on Monday in a loss against the Guardians.

Advice: It would’ve been nonsense to think Flaherty could match his last outing of 14 punch outs, but the 28-year-old pitched well against the Guardians and now has six or more strikeouts in five straight starts. The right-hander allowed his first of two runs in the first inning off a single from Will Brennan. He didn’t allow another run until his last inning when José Ramírez took him deep in the sixth. Flaherty’s next start will be at home against the Astros. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Triston McKenzie allows one run in no-decision
Triston McKenzie allowed one earned run and stuck out six in five innings against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: McKenzie allowed a home run to Riley Greene on the first pitch of the game and after that, the 26-year-old shut down the Tigers’ offense. McKenzie has at least six strikeouts in four straight games and has gotten his season ERA under four for the first time this season (3.97 ERA). McKenzie will get his next start against the White Sox this weekend, giving him and fantasy managers a solid matchup to improve across all categories. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Gets positive news from specialist
Manager Bruce Bochy stated Monday that Eovaldi isn't dealing with a sports hernia and should be cleared to return after serving the 15-day minimum on the injured list, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The Rangers initially believed that Eovaldi wouldn't be forced to miss more than the required 15 days, and this report was confirmed after the right-hander visited a specialist Monday. The 34-year-old will tentatively be cleared to return sometime during his club's upcoming series against the Angels, which runs from May 17 through May 19. Rotowire.com Today, 5:27 pm
