• Swipes another bag
Adell went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to Oakland.

Advice: Though the Angels have been thumped in two straight games coming out of the break, Adell has been a bright spot, going 3-for-6 with a pair of thefts and a pair of walks. While he's still hitting just .197 on the campaign, the outfielder has put together a five-game hitting streak during which he's batting an even .500 (7-for-14) with a homer, six RBI and four free passes. Though his batting average has been a drain in fantasy, Adell's provided some useful production with 15 long balls and 12 steals overall. Rotowire.com Jul 21, 8:39 am

  • Idle against lefty
Carroll is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Carroll has now taken a seat in two of Arizona's last three matchups against left-handed pitchers, as he'll exit the lineup for the finale in Chicago while southpaw Shota Imanaga takes the hill for the Cubs. Randal Grichuk will check in for Carroll in right field and will bat second. Rotowire.com Jul 21, 7:19 am
  • Provides insurance in win
Carroll went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: After Alek Thomas led off the fifth inning with a solo homer, Carroll followed two batters later with a two-run shot, his sixth homer of the season. It was also his fourth in the last nine games, a hopeful sign that he can make an impact over the second half. The Diamondbacks are still waiting for last season's version of Carroll; his 2024 OPS is 230 points lower than what it was in 2023. Rotowire.com Jul 21, 5:45 am
  • Carroll belts sixth home run in win Saturday
Corbin Carroll went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run against the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: Carroll’s home run was his sixth of the season. He belted a two-run shot off Kyle Hendricks in the fifth inning. Carroll is 7-for-31 (.225) with a double, four home runs and 12 RBI in his last nine games. He hit 25 home runs last year and seems to be tapping into his power more as of late. Carroll is hitting .211 with a .638 OPS and 35 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Jul 20, 7:43 pm
  • Reynolds stays hot with two-hit game against Phils
Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Reynolds has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball since the start of June. He had one game without a base hit in all of June. In his last 14 games, Reynolds is 23-for-57 (.403) with five home runs, a double and 15 RBI. He’s hitting .290 with an .846 OPS and 61 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Jul 20, 6:16 pm

  • Idle against lefty
Garcia isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against Cincinnati.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Garcia will take a seat Saturday as the lefty-throwing Nick Lodolo prepares to start on the bump for the Reds. Ildemaro Vargas will take over at the keystone and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Jul 20, 1:05 pm
  • Swipes bag in win
Carroll went 0-for-2 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch and a stolen base in Friday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Carroll stole his team-leading 19th base in the fourth inning when he swiped second base. He eventually got to third base with one out, but the Diamondbacks were unable to get him home. Of note, as was the practice in the weeks leading up to the All-Star break, Carroll remained in the lower third of the order against a left-handed starter. Rotowire.com Jul 20, 4:35 am
  • Picks up steal Friday
Adell went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 13-3 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Adell is up to 11 steals on the year, including two over 13 games in July. He's hitting a mild .225 (9-for-40) this month, though that is an improvement on his .192 batting average for the season. The outfielder has added a .657 OPS, 15 home runs, 44 RBI, 36 runs scored, eight doubles and one triple over 294 plate appearances. While no move is imminent, Adell could lose playing time once Mike Trout (knee) is activated from the injured list, which is projected to happen in late July or early August. • Resumes baseball activity
Rengifo (wrist) began throwing, fielding groundballs and hitting off a tee Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rengifo landed on the injured list July 5 due to right wrist inflammation, and the increased activity is a good indication that he'll be back in action soon. It remains unclear if the Angels will send him for a brief rehab assignment before reinstating him from the IL. Rotowire.com Jul 19, 5:36 pm
