• Struggles continue Monday
Harvey (2-4) took the loss Monday against the Mets, surrendering five runs (four earned) on three hits over two-thirds of an inning as the Nationals fell 9-7 in 10 innings.

Advice: The final frame was a disaster for Harvey and the Nats -- after the right-hander hit Harrison Bader with a pitch, J.D. Martinez crushed a splitter over the heart of the plate for a three-run shot before extra-base hits by Tyrone Taylor and Francisco Alvarez chased Harvey from the game. The normally reliable set-up man has been tagged for eight earned runs in his last four appearances, and his ERA has more than doubled over the last month, going from 2.08 after an appearance June 2 to 4.24 following Monday's outing. • Cracks 10th homer
Contreras went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored in Monday's loss at Colorado.

Advice: The 26-year-old drew the start at designated hitter and reached double-digit homers for the third consecutive season with a solo shot off Austin Gomber. Contreras also collected his team-leading 20th double of the season. Overall, the Milwaukee star is now slashing .296/.355/.451 with 51 RBI and 59 runs scored across 369 plate appearances. • Hunter Harvey gives up five runs in relief loss
Hunter Harvey allowed five runs — four earned —in the top of the 10th to take a loss to the Mets on Monday.

Advice: It’s the third time in a month that Harvey has allowed at least three runs, and his ERA has doubled from 2.08 on June 2 to 4.24 now. Apart from these three really bad outings, he’s done just fine. Still, we’re not sure he makes much sense on mixed-league rosters at this point; maybe there’s a chance the Nationals will trade Kyle Finnegan and make Harvey their closer, but it seems quite a bit more likely that they’ll keep both or trade both. Because Harvey spent considerable time on the major league IL before he established himself, he has just one more year to go before he’s eligible for free agency. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm
  • Sitting against southpaw
Garcia is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.

Advice: With southpaw David Peterson on the bump for the Mets, the lefty-hitting Garcia will head to the bench in the series opener. Ildemaro Vargas will fill in for Garcia at the keystone. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:42 pm
  • Hits late homer Sunday
Adell went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: The Angels were down 7-1 heading into the ninth frame before mounting a rally that fell just short. Adell brought the team to within one run with his two-out, two-run blast in the inning. The long ball snapped a 15-game homerless drought for the outfielder, and he had struggled mightily during that stretch, slashing .111/.180/.156. Despite the recent cold stretch, Adell has hung onto a near-everyday role, as he's started in right field in six of the Angels' past seven games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:26 am

  • Blasts 31st homer
Judge went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in an 8-1 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Judge helped New York get off to a fast start with a 423-foot, two-run shot to center field in the first inning. He added a single later in the contest to notch his third straight multi-hit game, and the slugger has gone 7-for-12 with five RBI during that stretch. Judge had a monstrous June overall, slashing .409/.514/.864 with 11 home runs, 37 RBI, 25 runs and three stolen bases over 25 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:48 am

  • Surrenders three runs Sunday
Castillo allowed three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings Sunday against the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: The Twins struck early with a run in the first on two base hits. Castillo went on to retire 11 of the next 12 batters he faced but then ran into more trouble in the fifth, allowing a double and two more singles, which led to another pair of runs for the Twins. He was able to work his way through the inning, but his day would end there at 77 pitches. Castillo managed to not give up any free passes for the first time since May 12, though he's also failed to complete six innings in four of his last five starts. He still holds a respectable 3.87 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 103:30 K:BB in 104.2 innings and projects to take the mound again to kick off a weekend series with Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:48 am

  • Stays hot Sunday
Pasquantino went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Pasquantino has gone 11-for-27 (.407) with nine RBI across his last seven games, ending June on a high note. The first baseman's recent surge has him up to a .247/.321/.436 slash line for the year, nearly identical to his marks over 61 contests in 2023. He's added 10 home runs, 55 RBI, 39 runs scored, 21 doubles and two triples through 82 games this year, playing on a near-everyday basis between first base and designated hitter. • Reaches 30-save milestone
Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves. He's converted those 30 saves consecutively after blowing his first opportunity of the year March 30. Helsley is sporting a 2.61 ERA with a 46:16 K:BB through 38 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:20 pm
