• Bryse Wilson tagged for five runs by Rockies
Bryse Wilson gave up five runs in four innings Monday versus the Rockies.

Advice: The Brewers used an opener in front of Wilson tonight, and Rob Zastryzny worked a scoreless first before exiting. Wilson, though, didn’t benefit from coming in to start the second. His last five outings have seen him give up seven, zero, five, zero and five runs, so maybe he’s due for a good one next time out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm

  • Nolan Jones collects two hits in Rockies’ win
Nolan Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk versus the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: The second hit also would have been at least a double, but it hit first base umpire Brian O’Nora on its way down the first base line, resulting in a single. Jones has had issues with strikeouts since coming off the IL last month, but he’s hitting the ball harder than he did in April and drawing a bunch of walks (12 in 15 games). He should prove pretty useful in mixed leagues the rest of the way. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm

  • Yields five runs in bulk role
Wilson did not factor into the decision in Monday's 8-7 loss to the Rockies, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Advice: After pitching to a 5.19 ERA across 26 innings in June, Wilson continued his run of poor performance in Coors Field. The Milwaukee right-hander allowed five or more runs for the third time in his last five appearances. He now sports a 4.27 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 62:28 K:BB over 78 innings this season. Things aren't going to get easier for Wilson, as he's currently scheduled to make his next outing versus the Dodgers in Los Angeles. It is currently unknown whether he will follow an opener again. • Joey Ortiz (neck) returns to Brewers lineup
Joey Ortiz is back at third base Monday after a three-game absence due to neck stiffness.

Advice: Ortiz is leading off with the Brewers facing a lefty tonight. He’ll continue to hit low in the order against righties. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:00 pm

  • Cracks 17th homer in win
Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Houston designated hitter provided two insurance runs by launching a 397-foot homer off Zach Pop in the ninth inning to extend the Astros' lead to 3-0. Alvarez has opened July nicely on the tails of a scorching June in which he hit .349 (30-for-86) with seven homers, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored. The 27-year-old's been the heart and soul of the Houston lineup this season, as expected, slashing .294/.372/.528 in 352 total plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:33 pm

  • Returns to Milwaukee lineup
Ortiz (neck) will start at third base and bat leadoff in Monday's game in Colorado.

Advice: Ortiz has been absent from the Brewers' lineup for the previous three contests due to neck discomfort, but he's been cleared to return for the start of a road trip. The 25-year-old returns to a .275/.380/.455 batting line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:45 pm

  • Slated for bulk relief
Wilson will be used as a bulk reliever in Monday's game versus the Rockies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Brewers often use an opener ahead of Wilson, and Monday will be no different with reliever Rob Zastryzny slated to take the ball first. Wilson tossed six shutout frames in bulk relief his last time out Tuesday, picking up a win against the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:25 am

  • Knocks three-run blast
Neto went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's loss to Detroit.

Advice: Neto's home run was part of the Angels' five-run ninth inning, but the comeback attempt fell just short. It was his 11th long ball of the year and snapped a 10-game homerless drought. Neto posted a .780 OPS in June, bumping his season slash line to .249/.301/.437 with 30 extra-base hits and 38 RBI through 300 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:32 am

  • Locks down save Sunday
Duran picked up the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Mariners, pitching a perfect ninth while striking out a batter in the process.

Advice: Duran capped off the month with his 12th save in 13 tries this season and turned in a scoreless outing for the 10th time in 12 June appearances. The hard-throwing righty owns a solid 3.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB in 25.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:37 am
