    • Allows three homers in loss
Flaherty (5-5) took the loss against the Angels on Thursday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Flaherty got tagged for a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the second before proceeding to strike out six of the next nine batters he faced. However, the right-hander would go on to surrender two more long balls on the night as the Tigers failed to back him with anything on offense. Flaherty had allowed one run or fewer in four consecutive starts coming in, and no runs in three of his previous four. The three home runs he gave up Thursday also marked a season high. • Triples, swipes bag in win
De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple, a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's win over St. Louis.

Advice: De La Cruz kicked things off for Cincinnati with an RBI triple in the first to score Jonathan India. The star shortstop would then add another two singles in the contest, giving him his fifth three-hit performance this month, and third in his last six games. Over that latter stretch De La Cruz is batting .464 (13-for-28) with two homers, four RBI and seven runs scored. He also swiped his league-leading 38th bag Thursday after failing to record a steal over his previous eight games. Rotowire.com Today, 4:22 am

    • Strikes out seven in no-decision
Hicks did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits, two walks and a hit batsman against the Cubs. He struck out seven.

Advice: Hicks' outing was marred by a rough third inning in which he hit a batter, allowed two steals and gave up a homer and triple among three hits during the three-run frame. Otherwise, Hicks faced just two batters over the minimum during the other four innings, recording at least seven strikeouts for the fourth time this season. He'll carry a strong 3.36 ERA into his next start, tentatively scheduled to take place next week when the Giants travel to Atlanta for a mid-week series. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:50 pm

    • Jack Flaherty tagged for three homers in loss
Jack Flaherty lost to the Angels after allowing five runs in 5 2/3 innings on Thursday.

Advice: Flaherty surrendered three homers, matching his total from his previous six starts combined. He struck out seven and walked just one, but there was no overcoming the longball in this one. It’s the first time since Apr. 24 that he’s allowed more than three runs. Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a run scored, a triple, an RBI and a stolen base against the Cardinals on Thursday.

Advice: De La Cruz’s RBI triple off Miles Mikolas in the first inning started the scoring for Cincinnati. He later stole his 38th base of the season. De La Cruz is hitting .255 with an .815 OPS and 36 RBI on the year.

    • Perez has two-hit game in win Thursday
Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Perez has hit safely in four consecutive games. He’s seen his average drop from .321 at the end of May to .283. The Royals lineup desperately needs his bat to wake up again. This was only his third multi-hit game in June, but maybe it’s the start of a hot streak. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:44 pm

    • Garcia hits RBI triple in win over Guardians
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a triple, and an RBI against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia tied the game at one with an RBI triple in the sixth inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. Those were the only runs the Royals scored on the night, but it was enough to squeak out a 2-1 victory. Garcia needs to have more of an impact if he’s going to retain his spot atop the Kansas City lineup for the rest of the season. He’s hitting .232 with a .629 OPS on the season. • Played through hand injury
Rutschman had his right hand wrapped following Thursday's game against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Rutschman had a ball tipped off his hand early in the game and remained in the lineup. He still managed to blast his 15th home run in the seventh inning, suggesting the injury isn't serious. However, manager Brandon Hyde said Rutschman's hand could swell up overnight, potentially impacting his availability Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 pm

    • Adley Rutschman dealing with right hand injury
Adley Rutschman suffered a right hand injury during Thursday’s win over the Rangers.

Advice: It wouldn’t be shocking to see Rutschman get a day off, or at least be limited to designated hitter for a bit, after suffering an apparent right hand injury during Thursday’s blowout win over the Rangers when he was hit by a foul tip. The 26-year-old backstop, who went 2-for-4 with his 15th homer of the season in the one-sided affair, had his hand wrapped following the contest and might need some time off to address the issue. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm
