• Exits with apparent leg injury
Mize left Sunday's outing against the Angels in the bottom of the sixth inning with an apparent leg injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Mize was in the midst of one of his best starts of the season, tossing 5.1 scoreless innings before "cramping up" and grabbing at the back of his left leg according to McCosky. More information on Mize's status will likely come in the near future, but if his departure ultimately does end up being the result of cramping, there's no concern for his availability moving forward. • Allows seven runs in loss
Gausman (6-7) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits, five walks and a hit batsman against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gausman needed 107 pitches to record 13 outs, allowing season highs in runs (seven) and walks (five) while being tagged for three extra-base hits including a first-inning Aaron Judge two-run blast. Gausman did strike out seven batters to represent the fourth time this season he's reached at least seven in an outing, but that's nothing more than a minor silver lining around Sunday's ugly performance. It's the fifth time this season Gausman has allowed at least five runs in a start, and he closes the month of June with a 5.64 ERA over 36.2 innings spanning six starts. His next start is tentatively slated for when the Blue Jays head west to take on the Mariners in Seattle next weekend. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Quality start in no-decision
Freeland came away with a no-decision Sunday against the White Sox, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and two walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Freeland made his second start since coming off the 60-day injured list, throwing 80 pitches Sunday after throwing 69 his last time out. The 31-year-old has been sharp since returning despite the reduced workload, notching quality starts in both appearances en route to a 1.42 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP across 12.2 innings. The southpaw should be close to a full workload his next time out, tentatively scheduled for next weekend against the Royals. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

  • Casey Mize leaves game in sixth with leg problem
Casey Mize left Sunday’s game in the sixth inning with an apparent left leg injury.

Advice: Mize grabbed at his hamstring a little bit after trying to chase down a foul popup. He is in line for his second win after leaving with a 7-0 lead and one out in the sixth against the Angels. Alex Faedo replaced him. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

  • Fans 11 in no-decision
Crochet came away with a no-decision Sunday against the Rockies, allowing two earned runs on five hits and zero walks while striking out 11 over seven innings.

Advice: Crochet's workload was a major question entering this one -- reports earlier this week stated his workload was "going to start dwindling". The 25-year-old threw 88 pitches and made it through seven-plus innings for the third time this season, temporarily quieting the concerns. The White Sox will be cautious with Crochet ahead of the trade deadline, but he remains a must-start as long as he is active. The southpaw owns a 3.02 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP and a league-leading 141 strikeouts over 101.1 innings this season. He is tentatively scheduled for a road start in Miami next weekend. • Tovar has two hits in win over White Sox Sunday
Ezequiel Tovar went 2-for-6 with an RBI against the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Tovar’s RBI single in the 13th inning temporarily gave the Rockies a 4-3 lead in a game Colorado would eventually win 5-4 in 14 innings. The 22-year-old has had a solid first half of the season. Tovar’s hitting .284 with a .785 OPS, 12 home runs and 37 RBI on the year. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Struggles in defeat
Allen (8-4) took the loss Sunday against the Royals, allowing three earned runs on six hits and zero walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Allen never found his footing in this one, surrendering runs in the first two frames before exiting in the fifth inning. This comes off the back of a brutal outing where he allowed three home runs and was pulled after just three innings. The 25-year-old has been an adequate source of wins thanks to the Cleveland offense, but he sports an ugly 5.75 ERA, a 1.54 WHIP and a 67:31 K:BB across 83 innings this season. The southpaw will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend against the Giants. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

  • McMahon steals base, scores twice in win Sunday
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base against the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: McMahon’s stolen base was his third of the year. He started the scoring as he came around on a Garrett Crochet balk in the second inning and scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Michael Toglia in the 14th inning. McMahon is hitting .270 with an .812 OPS, 14 home runs and 42 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Vaughn belts 10th home run, drives in three Sunday
Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and three RBI against the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Vaughn’s home run was his 10th of the year. He hit a solo shot off Kyle Freeland in the fourth inning to bring the White Sox within a run, walked with the bases loaded in the seventh inning to tie the game and hit a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to tie the game. Vaughn is 34-for-106 (.320) with six home runs and 20 RBI over his last 27 games. He’s hitting .244 with a .693 OPS and 39 RBI on the season.
