• Dazzles with 10 K's
Lugo (11-2) picked up the win Sunday against Cleveland, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out 10 over six scoreless innings.

Advice: Lugo was dominant Sunday, throwing 66 of his 93 pitches for strikes en route to 10 strikeouts. The 34-year-old logged his fourth-consecutive quality start and his 14th of the season, tied for first in the MLB. Over his past four starts, the right-hander has registered a robust 1.46 ERA, a 1.01 WHIP and a 30:7 K:BB over 24.2 innings. He will look to keep rolling his next time out, currently scheduled for next weekend in Colorado. Rotowire.com 45 minutes ago

  • Returns to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Black to Triple-A Nashville following Sunday's win over the Cubs, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 23-year-old was called up by Milwaukee on June 19 but totaled just 12 at-bats before being sent back to Triple-A. Black is one of the organization's top prospects but doesn't have a clear path to playing time in the big leagues given who the Brewers currently have available, so he'll go back to the minors to get everyday at-bats. • Set to be activated Monday
Mitchell (finger) will join the Brewers in Denver on Monday to be activated from the injured list for the series opener against the Rockies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 25-year-old has missed the first three months of the season due to a fractured finger, but he's ready to join the Brewers after a 14-game rehab assignment in the minor leagues. Milwaukee will now have a severe logjam in the outfield, with Mitchell joining a group of Christian Yelich, Blake Perkins, Sal Frelick and Jackson Chourio. Frelick saw time at third base during spring training, but Joey Ortiz (neck) has played his way into the starting job during the first half. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

  • Rounding into form
Cole (1-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on three hits, a walk and two hit batsmen over five innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out six.

Advice: Cole continues to struggle with his command as he rounds into form following a two-plus month stint on the IL with a nerve irritation in his elbow, but Sunday's performance represented a major step in the right direction. After walking four and allowing four homers in his previous start, Cole allowed a single run in the third, then struck out three of the last six batters he faced as he sent the Blue Jays down in order in the fourth and fifth innings to close out his day. The five innings pitched, 90 pitches thrown, one run allowed and six strikeouts each represented a season-best total for Cole, who continues to inch his way back towards his normal workload. He's tentatively slated to toe the rubber again next weekend in an AL East showdown when the Yankees welcome the Red Sox to the Bronx. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago
  • Gives up two homers in loss
Waldron (5-7) took the loss Sunday against the Red Sox. He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits, one walk and three strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Waldron was plagued by the long ball Sunday against the Red Sox, as he allowed two homers in a start for the first time this season. He snapped a streak of nine straight starts in which he allowed two runs or fewer in the process. The knuckleballer has been a revelation for the Padres rotation this season, he'll take a 3.56 ERA and 1.19 WHIP into his next start vs the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago

  • Sent to Triple-A
The Rangers optioned Burke to Triple-A Baltimore on Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The left-hander gave up three runs in his past two outings and will head to Triple-A in order to make room for Jonathan Ornelas, who was called up Sunday. Burke has struggled to a 7.45 ERA and 11:6 K:BB in 10 outings for Texas this year. Rotowire.com Today, 2:18 pm

  • Ramirez drives in run in loss to Royals Sunday
Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Ramirez hit an RBI double in the eighth inning to make it 6-1 Royals and scored on Josh Naylor’s RBI single to give us the final score of 6-2. Ramirez continues his ridiculous RBI pace as he now has 76 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 2:17 pm
  • Suffers wrist contusion
Garver left Sunday's game against the Twins as a result of a right wrist contusion, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Advice: Garver was struck in the right wrist by a 92.7 mph sinker from Joe Ryan in the bottom of the second inning, exiting the contest in the following frame. With Seattle having an off day Monday, the 33-year-old will have an opportunity to nurse the injury for an extra day before Tuesday's series opener with the Orioles. Rotowire.com Today, 2:16 pm

  • Called up Sunday
The Rangers recalled Ornelas from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old will join Texas ahead of Sunday's series finale in Baltimore since Corey Seager (wrist) is banged up. Ornelas will provide infield depth for the Rangers until Seager is ready for action. Rotowire.com Today, 2:15 pm
