• X-rays negative on hand
Guerrero had X-rays on his right hand come back negative after being hit by a pitch during Sunday's loss to the Yankees, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: The 25-year-old remained in the contest after being hit by the pitch during the third inning, but he was eventually pulled for a pinch hitter. Guerrero appears to have avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener against Houston. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

  • Wilyer Abreu collects two hits in victory
Wilyer Abreu singled twice and walked in his three plate appearances Sunday as the Red Sox topped the Padres 4-1.

Advice: In spite of the strong showing, Abreu was still lifted for a pinch-hitter against a lefty reliever in the eighth. Abreu hit his line drive singles 107 and 104 mph today. He had been 2-for-16 since coming off the injured list last week, but he’s a worthy option in mixed leagues right now. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm

  • Reaches 10-homer mark
Vientos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Vientos has flexed his power recently with five homers over his last nine games. In that span, he's batting .324 (12-for-37) with seven RBI and 10 runs scored. The third baseman is at a .297/.355/.578 slash line with 10 long balls, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored, no stolen bases and six doubles through 141 plate appearances this year. As long as the 24-year-old continues to hit well, he should have no trouble holding onto a starting job at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 pm

  • Triumphant in return
Gallen (6-4) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out seven over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Gallen returned from a hamstring injury that cost him nearly a month and took full advantage of a soft matchup. This was the fourth time this season he's gone six innings in a start without allowing a run. He's also posted five quality starts in his last six outings, with the lone exception being the May 30 start that ended with the aforementioned hamstring injury before he could record an out. The right-hander is now at a 2.83 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 67:16 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts. Gallen threw 77 pitches (50 strikes) Saturday, so he should be good for a full workload his next time out, which is tentatively projected for a road outing at San Diego. • Continues hot streak in win
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Guerrero opened the scoring with a two-run home run off Nestor Cortes in the first inning. He added a three-run double in the eighth and an RBI single in the eighth to finish the day with a whopping six RBI. The first baseman is scorching, having homered in three straight with six consecutive multi-hit efforts. Over those six games, he has driven in a ridiculous 19 runs and is now batting .296 with 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 40 runs scored in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:16 pm

  • Vientos crushes 10th home run in loss Saturday
Mark Vientos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Vientos’ home run was his 10th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Framber Valdez in the third inning. Vientos is hitting .297 with a .933 OPS and 23 RBI in 128 at-bats with New York this year. He should be rostered in all formats at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:54 pm

  • Extends hit streak to 11 games
India went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: India hit an RBI double and scored in the second inning and then added another RBI double in the seventh. The second baseman is on fire, hitting safely in 11 consecutive games and registering multiple hits in eight straight. He has increased his average to .279 with five home runs, 34 RBI, 38 runs scored and eight steals over 311 plate appearances this season. The 27-year-old will likely continue to hit leadoff until TJ Friedl (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:45 pm

  • Gallen throws six shutout innings in win vs. A’s
Zac Gallen allowed no runs in six innings and got the win in the Diamondbacks’ 3-0 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Gallen gave up one hit, walked one and struck out seven. Even though the Athletics offense is nothing to write home about, Gallen was excellent in his first major league start since May 30th. Gallen has finished in the top five of the Cy Young award voting each of the last two years and appeared to have similar form in this start. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres on the road next week.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homers, drives in six in win
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI to lead Toronto to a 9-3 win over the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Guerrero Jr. has been on an absolute tear. His first-inning two-run homer off Nestor Cortes was his sixth home run in nine games. With the bases loaded in the sixth, he cleared them all with a double to extend the Blue Jays’ lead. Not done there, he doubled once again in the eighth to drive in his sixth RBI of the game. The 25-year-old first baseman is slashing .296/.374/.470 with 13 homers, 40 runs scored, and 50 RBI across 361 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:08 pm
