• Surrenders game-tying homer
Diaz blew the save Sunday against NYM, allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts over one inning.

Advice: Diaz was tagged for a solo home run by Randy Arozarena in the ninth frame, his second long ball allowed in three appearances. Diaz hasn't generated a save since April 15 and is now 4-for-5 on save chances this season with an overall ERA of 2.63 through 13.2 innings. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago
  • Struggles mightily in return
Manoah did not factor into the decision, allowing seven runs (six earned) on six hits and four walks over four innings Sunday against the Nationals. He struck out six.

Advice: Manoah struggled with his command throughout, also hitting a batter to allow 11 baserunners and six earned runs including two homers during his first start of the season. It was not the type of start the Blue Jays were hoping to see out of the fourth-year starter, who compiled a 2.59 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 307 strikeouts over 308.1 innings during his first two seasons but struggled to a 5.87 ERA and 1.74 WHIP over 87.1 innings last season spanning 19 starts. The Blue Jays are hopeful Manoah can return to form this season, but fantasy managers will be wise to proceed with skepticism until the 26-year-old righty starts to show signs that he's working past his funk. His next turn would tentatively be slated for next weekend at home against the Twins, though this performance likely indicates his next start is far from assured. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

  • Runs wild against Mets
Caballero went 0-for-2 with three walks, three runs scored and four stolen bases during Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Mets.

Advice: Despite not tallying a hit, Caballero was all over the basepath, reaching thrice via walk and becoming the third player since 2020 to accumulate four steals in a game. One of those swipes came in the 10th inning when he stole third after starting the inning as the designated runner then scored on a walk-off triple by Jonny DeLuca. Caballero ranks third in MLB with 13 steals this season and holds a .317 on-base percentage. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

  • Nick Gordon has four hits, HR in win over A’s
Nick Gordon went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored in a 12-3 win over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Gordon got the party started with a 406-foot home run off Joe Boyle in the first inning that was 104.7 mph off the bat and drove in three runs. He added two more singles and a double, all of which were hit at least 98 mph. The 28-year-old has started four of the last six games but is slashing just .207/.241/.390 on the season with four home runs and 15 RBI. He should be left on the wire outside of the deepest formats. • Jazz Chisholm has two hits, two steals in win
Jazz Chisholm went 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored, and two steals in a win over the A’s.

Advice: Chisholm’s two hits were both singles and both were under 93 mph off the bat; however, he made the most of both trips on the bases with two steals, which gives him seven on the season. The 26-year-old is slashing just .234/.319/.383 on the season and is just one of many Marlins off to a slow start to 2024. Perhaps the possibility of being traded to another team during the team’s firesale will spark a hot streak. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago
  • Jonah Heim hits ninth-inning homer in Rangers’ win
Jonah Heim hit a game-tying homer in the ninth Sunday as the Rangers beat the Giants 3-2 in 10 innings.

Advice: Heim got off to a slow start over the first 10 days, but he’s settled in nicely since, batting .296 with four homers and 16 RBI in his last 21 games. The Rangers have occasionally batted him as low as eighth and ninth, but he was in the fifth spot today against a lefty and he could hit a little higher versus righties with Wyatt Langford out. • MacKenzie Gore gives up grand slam in poor outing
MacKenzie Gore lasted only three innings and allowed six runs — two earned — and six hits Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It was Gore’s own error that led to all of the unearned runs. Gore’s secondary pitches weren’t working today; he got just one missed swing on his 32 non-fastballs, and it was a changeup, after three straight fastballs, that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit for a grand slam in the second. He’s 2-3 with a 3.44 ERA after seven turns. Rotoworld Today, 4:00 pm

  • Alek Manoah tagged for seven runs in 2024 debut
Making his 2024 debut, Alek Manoah gave up seven runs — six earned — in four innings Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Manoah issued a bases-loaded walk in the first, but that run was unearned because of an error to start the inning. He later gave up a homer in the third and five runs after recording the second out of the fourth. The good news is that Manoah had really strong velocity today — his 94.3 mph average on his fastball was up 1.5 mph from last year and also little better than his 2022 average — and he was able to strike out six batters. There might still be some hope here for the future, but we wouldn’t want to be rostering him right now. Rotoworld Today, 4:00 pm

  • Jonny DeLuca delivers game-winning triple for Rays
Jonny DeLuca went 2-for-4 with a game-winning, two-run triple in the bottom of the 10th as the Rays outlasted the Mets 7-6 on Sunday.

Advice: Harrison Bader was shaded the other way and came up just a little short on a diving attempt for DeLuca’s shot to center in the 10th. The ball that rolled all of the way to the wall, and it might have been an inside-the-park homer if the winning run wasn’t already on base. DeLuca also had an RBI single earlier in the contest. He might be limited to playing mostly against lefties once the Rays get Josh Lowe back, but as is, he’s started three straight games since coming off the IL and gone 3-for-11 with six RBI.
