• Braves add veteran Ramón Laureano to outfield mix
Braves selected the contract of OF Ramón Laureano from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Laureano gets the call back to the majors ahead of Saturday’s showdown against the Rays with center fielder Michael Harris II landing on the injured list with a left hamstring strain. The 29-year-old outfielder was released last month by the Guardians after posting a disastrous .494 OPS in 31 games to open the year. He quickly latched on with the Braves and finds himself back in the majors as extra outfield depth after batting .362 (21-for-58) with three homers in 14 games for Triple-A Gwinnett. • Kyle Bradish exits Friday with elbow discomfort
Kyle Bradish was removed from Friday’s start against the Phillies with right elbow discomfort.

Advice: Not good. Bradish is slated to undergo further testing after lasting just five innings on Friday night before exiting after just 74 pitches. He was spotted shaking his elbow throughout the contest on a night where his velocity was up significantly from previous levels. The biggest concern here for fantasy managers is that the 27-year-old righty is roughly six weeks removed from returning from a UCL sprain in his right elbow that caused him to miss all of spring training and the opening month of the season. There should be an update on his status in the coming days and it seems highly likely that he could wind up requiring another trip to the injured list. We’ll have updates on the developing situation as they unfold. Rotoworld Today, 5:58 am

  • Kyle Bradish solid across five innings
Kyle Bradish allowed two earned runs via solo homers in five innings on Friday in a loss to the Phillies. He struck out four and walked one.

Advice: Bradish hadn’t given up a home run all season before Friday, but the Phillies put two in the seats for their only two runs. Still, Bradish was mostly in control with a heavy diet of sinkers to supplement his excellent slider and curveball. He left the game with 74 pitches one inning shy of qualifying for a quality start. • Dealing with elbow problems
Bradish reported having issues with his right elbow after the fifth inning of Friday's game against the Phillies, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Manager Brandon Hyde said after the game that Bradish will undergo tests on his elbow to determine the cause of the issue. The 27-year-old missed the first month of the season after suffering a UCL sprain during spring training, so it makes sense why the Orioles are being cautious with him. He's lined up to pitch again next Friday against the Astros, but his chances of making his next start will likely depend on the results of his tests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm

  • Rough Marlins debut
Anderson (0-1) took the loss Friday against the Nationals, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in two innings. He struck out one.

Advice: Anderson held the Nats scoreless through his first two innings before unraveling in the third, where he allowed seven straight hits without recording an out. While it certainly wasn't an inspiring debut in Miami for Anderson, the 29-year-old right-hander could get another shot in the rotation with Edward Cabrera (shoulder), Ryan Weathers (finger) and Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) all on the IL. • Shaun Anderson roughed up in Marlins debut
Shaun Anderson allowed seven earned runs and 10 hits across just two-plus innings in a loss on Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: The Nationals jumped all over Anderson in the third inning with seven straight hits and 12 batters coming to the plate in total. This was Anderson’s first start in the major league since 2019 and he may have a chance to stick in the Marlins’ rotation as they’re strapped for depth despite the awful start. • Not starting versus LHP
Brooks isn't in the Giants' lineup for Friday's game against the Angels, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Brooks will take a seat Friday as lefty Tyler Anderson toes the slab for the Angels. Wilmer Flores will get the nod to start at first base instead while batting fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:16 pm
  • Taking seat Friday
Campusano is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Mets.

Advice: He will yield to the hot-hitting Kyle Higashioka at catcher Friday. Campusano is slashing just .146/.203/.182 across his last 19 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm
  • Marlins recall RHP Shaun Anderson
Marlins recalled RHP Shaun Anderson from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: Anderson was acquired from the Rangers at the end of May. He made two appearances out of the bullpen with Texas earlier this year and had a 5.40 ERA in 3 1/3 innings. Anderson had a 2.45 ERA in two starts with Triple-A Jacksonville. He’s the scheduled starter for the Marlins on Friday against the Nationals. Burch Smith was designated for assignment as the corresponding move. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:03 am
