• Exits early versus Miami
Winker (undisclosed) exited Saturday's matchup with the Marlins in the bottom of the third inning, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: Winker singled and later rounded second base on a base knock from Ildemaro Vargas in the bottom of the first inning, being tagged out after awkwardly sliding back into the bag. Luis Garcia replaced him at the plate in the third inning and more information on Winker's status will likely come following Saturday's contest. Rotowire.com Today, 1:49 pm

  • Jesse Winker leaves game with apparent leg injury
Jesse Winker was removed from Saturday’s ballgame against the Marlins in the third inning with an apparent leg injury.

Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder awkwardly rounded second base before pulling up and retreating during the first inning. He stayed in the game initially, but was ultimately lifted two innings later. Expect the Nationals to provide an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Today, 1:48 pm

  • Slugs 15th homer
Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings loss to the Phillies.

Advice: His eighth-inning shot off Matt Strahm sent the game to extras, but Baltimore came up short in the end. Santander has been on a tear in June, slashing .273/.333/.636 with six of his 15 homers on the season in 14 games on the month. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am

  • Begins rehab assignment
Thomas (hamstring) went 1-for-2 with a walk and a home run in the Arizona Complex League on Thursday.

Advice: Thomas opened a rehab assignment as the DH and received three plate appearances as the leadoff hitter before being removed for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning. He did not play Friday. Per Steve Gilbert of MLB.com, Thomas will likely move to Triple-A Reno to continue his rehab, and he could potentially return at some point this coming week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:34 am

  • Slugs seventh homer
Ramos went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and two walks in Friday's 8-6 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Ramos collected his seventh multi-hit effort in 12 games in June. He's also posted five homers, 14 RBI and an 8:15 BB:K over that span. Ramos is up to a .314/.400/.529 slash line with seven long balls, 27 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base over 140 plate appearances this season. He initially worked in the corner outfield spots, but the 24-year-old has started the last seven games in center field as he continues to solidify his place in the majors. • Rips three extra-base hits
Moniak went 3-for-5 with a triple, two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Friday's 8-6 win over the Giants.

Advice: Moniak supplied a two-run double in the third inning. He's hit safely in six straight games, going 8-for-19 (.421) with five RBI, four walks and two stolen bases in that span. Kevin Pillar has been excellent since joining the Angels in May, but he'd been platooning with Moniak until recently. With Taylor Ward slumping and potentially on the trade block, there could be room for Pillar in left field and Moniak in center, though the latter will have to keep hitting to maintain playing time. Moniak is slashing .192/.241/.282 with two home runs, six doubles, one triple, 14 RBI, 15 runs scored and four steals over 166 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:07 pm

  • Collects 11th save
Estevez struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 8-6 win over the Giants.

Advice: The Giants rallied late, but Estevez shut the door with a 17-pitch ninth inning. He's up to 11 saves this season, five of which have come over his last seven appearances. The closer has added a 3.86 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 20:3 K:BB and three blown saves through 21 innings. The Angels don't often have leads to protect, but Estevez should continue to close as long as he's with the team -- though as a pending free agent, he will be a trade target over the next six weeks. • Heliot Ramos hits three-run homer in loss to LAA
Heliot Ramos hit a three-run homer and reached four times in a loss to the Angels on Friday.

Advice: In addition to the three-run homer, Ramos also singled and drew a pair of walks. The 24-year-old has been outstanding in 2024 after struggling in his limited MLB chances in the past, and the four-reach game has him slashing .314/.400/.529 in 121 at-bats. It’s time to take Ramos seriously, if you needed any convincing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:17 pm

  • Mickey Moniak triples, doubles twice in victory
Mickey Moniak tripled and doubled twice while driving in a pair of runs in an 8-6 win over the Giants on Friday.

Advice: Both RBI came on one of those extra-base hits, as he gave the Halos a 4-0 lead with a two-run double. The first pick of the 2016 draft is still slashing an ugly .192/.241/.282, but he does have a six-game hitting streak. It’s possible this is the beginning of turning things around, but nothing Moniak has done over his career suggests that’s a reasonable ask. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:17 pm
