    • Bryson Stott goes hitless against Giants
Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span. He still projects as a useful MI in mixed leagues going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 pm

    • Blasts homer Tuesday
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Gorman has four homers, two steals, eight RBI and eight runs scored over his last nine games, batting .321 (9-for-28) in that span. It's a good run of consistency at the plate for the infielder, who has struggled to put it all together at times this season. He's at a .214/.306/.428 slash line with nine long balls, 23 RBI, 21 runs scored and two steals through 47 contests overall while holding down a starting role at second base. • Goes deep in loss
Bryant went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 13-7 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Bryant has gone 6-for-28 (.214) over eight games since he returned from a back injury. His homer Tuesday was his first extra-base hit in that span. The 32-year-old is slashing a meager .173/.303/.280 with two homers, nine RBI, four runs scored and two doubles over 21 contests this season. For now, it looks like Bryant and Elehuris Montero will share first base and designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm

    • Jake Cronenworth goes 0-for-4 versus Marlins
Jake Cronenworth went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, leaving him 12-for-56 in his last 15 games.

Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games. He’s slumped the last two weeks, but his exit velocity numbers are still encouraging enough to suggest that he’ll snap out of this and remain rather productive. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm

    • Freddy Peralta strikes out 11 in loss to Cubs
Freddy Peralta allowed one earned run and three hits over 5 2/3 innings while striking out 11 in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Peralta was solid in this one, striking out 11 batters while allowing just five total base runners. A solo homer by Michael Busch in the third inning was his lone blemish on the night, as Peralta largely held the Cubs in check. He was bailed out of a loss thanks to a two-out RBI single by Willy Adames in the ninth and is now sporting a 3.61 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through 11 games. Peralta will look to pick up his first win since April 30th when he makes his next start on Sunday against the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm
    • Neris blows save, Cubs down Brewers in extras
Hector Neris blew his second save of the season in the Cubs’ win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Advice: Neris entered the game with a 1-0 lead and recorded two outs to open the bottom of the ninth. He then ran into trouble when he walked Christian Yelich, only to later balk and move Yelich into scoring position. Willy Adames would later single with two strikes to drive in Yelich and for the game into extras. It’s just the second blown save of the season for Neris, who has managed to close things out when called upon despite a concerning 1.56 WHIP. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:01 pm
    • Max Fried stymies Nationals’ bats in win
Max Fried threw eight shutout innings, allowing seven hits and striking out six in a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Fried has now allowed just one earned run over 17 innings in his last two starts. However, while he carved up the Cubs in his last time out, Fried managed without his best stuff on Tuesday. He had just nine whiffs on 45 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW on the day; however, the Nationals were only able to muster one extra-base hit and couldn’t capitalize on their seven hits. Aces are able to produce even when they’re not executing as well as they can, and that’s exactly what Fried did tonight. He’ll now take a 2.97 ERA into a start against the A’s on Sunday. • Masyn Winn extends hitting streak to 17 games
Masyn Winn went 1-for-5 with two RBI in a 7-1 win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: His sixth-inning double was 106 mph off the bar and extended his hitting streak to 17 games. The 22-year-old is 22-for-64 (.344) over that stretch with two home runs, 10 RBI, and three steals. He has been leading off consistently against left-handed pitching, but if the Cardinals decide to move him up in the order full-time, he could see a big fantasy boost with the likely improvement to his counting stats. • Will Benson homers in loss to Cardinals
Will Benson went 1-for-1 with a walk and a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: In one game, we saw the pluses and minuses of the Will Benson experience. He hit a solo home run off Kyle Gibson but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning with a left-handed reliever on the mound. The 25-year-old flashed some intriguing power and speed upside last year, but he now has a .199/.300/.416 triple slash and the Reds are happy to remove him in the middle of a game when a lefty comes in. That makes it hard to roster him in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:28 pm
