    • Three straight starts
Caballero went 3-for-3 with a run scored Wednesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Caballero looked to be the odd man out when Taylor Walls returned from the injured list, but he's started in three straight games and four of the Rays' last five games. In part, that's because Brandon Lowe (toe) has been sidelined, though the Rays have also played Caballero at third base and shortstop during his recent uptick in playing time. He's hit a decent .243 this season, though most of his fantasy value comes from his 24 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Today, 6:20 am

    • Runs hit streak to eight games
India went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

Advice: No one in baseball is hotter than India, who leads MLB with a .571 average and is second in OPS (1.654) over the last seven days. He's hit safely in eight straight contests, going 15-for-29 with four walks, two steals, seven doubles, one home run, three RBI and eight additional runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:08 am

    • Saturday start being discussed
Gallen (hamstring) could start Saturday against Oakland if Thursday's bullpen session goes well, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Thursday's bullpen session will be the second one thrown by Gallen, who also has a couple of simulated games under his belt since he landed on the injured list. The right-hander hasn't thrown in game conditions since May 30, when he threw just six pitches against the Mets before being removed due to the hamstring strain. Rotowire.com Today, 5:36 am

    • Perfect at plate in big win
Alvarez went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk, three total runs and three total RBI in a 12-2 victory versus the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: Alvarez touched up Yankees starter Luis Gil for a two-run homer in the third inning and added a run-scoring double in the fifth. The catcher also singled for his third three-hit performance during his current nine-game hitting streak. Alvarez has been scorching during that stretch, batting .516 (16-for-31) with three home runs, nine RBI and a 7:7 BB:K. His slash line is up to an impressive .313/.383/.521 on the campaign. • Dominant in seventh victory
Cease (7-6) earned the win over Washington on Wednesday, pitching seven scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and issued two walks while striking out nine batters.

Advice: The only hit Cease surrendered during his seven frames was a two-out single by Nick Senzel in the fifth inning. Remarkably, this was the San Diego right-hander's third outing this season during which he gave up exactly one hit in seven frames, and he unsurprisingly has picked up a victory in all three of those starts. Cease had been struggling coming into Wednesday, giving up 11 runs over his previous two starts covering 8.1 innings during his worst two-game stretch of the campaign. He's had a few clunkers among his 17 appearances this season but has solid numbers overall with a 3.84 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 125:30 K:BB across 98.1 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm

    • Francisco Álvarez unstoppable in win
Francisco Álvarez went 3-for-3 with a home run, double, walk, three runs scored, and three RBI in the Mets’ 12-2 win over the Yankees.

Advice: It’s very easy to forget that Álvarez is only 22-years-old. It’s even easier to forget he just missed nearly two months with a torn ligament in his left thumb. Since returning, he’s slashing .414/.500/.732 with 3 homers, 11 RBI, seven walks, and eight strikeouts in 14 games. His offensive ceiling is absurd. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:50 pm
    • Dylan Cease fans nine in dominant win over Nats
Dylan Cease delivered an impressive performance in Wednesday’s victory over the Nationals, racking up nine strikeouts over seven innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander allowed just one hit — a two-out single by Nick Senzel in the fifth inning — while issuing a pair of walks in the contest. Cease generated 16 swings and misses in the ballgame — nine of those on his slider — while registering a strong CSW of 33 percent. He now sits at 7-6 on the season with a 3.84 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 125/30 K/BB ratio over 98 1/3 innings through his first 17 starts on the season. He’ll try to replicate this brilliant outing when he squares off against the Rangers in Arlington on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm

    • Jonathan India stays hot with two more hits in loss
Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with an RBI double on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

Advice: India was responsible for manufacturing Cincinnati’s lone extra-base hit and run of the contest on Wednesday afternoon as they were unable to solve Luis Ortiz over six frames to open the game before relievers Kyle Nicolas and Aroldis Chapman came out of the bullpen to slam the door. It’s flown a bit under the radar, but India is playing some of the best ball of his career at the moment, batting .365 (35-for-96) with three homers, 20 RBI and four steals over his last 30 games. • Clubs homer Tuesday
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday in a 4-3 win against the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman's two-run shot in the third inning tied the game at 3-3, and Shohei Ohtani's RBI single one frame later provided the decisive run. The long ball was Freeman's sixth in a superb June during which he's slashed .338/.433/.650 with 15 RBI, 19 runs, two stolen bases and a 14:12 BB:K. The veteran first baseman is tied for fourth in the league with 47 walks on the season, and his 13.7-percent walk rate is on pace for a career-best mark, excluding the abbreviated 60-game 2020 campaign.
