    • George Kirby changed his curve grip in last start
      George Kirby debuted a new curveball grip in Tuesday’s start, making the change “on the fly” before the game.

      Advice: Kirby didn’t like how his curveball was performing against right-handed batters this season, so he decided to try a new grip before Tuesday’s start in order to “find something that has a little more depth and [he] can stay on the plate with it.” It seemed to work on Tuesday as Kirby threw just six curveballs but got five swings and two whiffs. The other swings resulted in foul balls and one groundout. Kirby mentioned that it’s a grip he’s used in the past and one he knows Zac Gallen uses. “I throw it a little bit harder, but it just kind of eliminates the horizontal movement, which, especially to righties, I kind of had a hard time with.” After a successful first attempt at the new grip, the modification may stay around, giving Kirby a little more fantasy upside in what is already a good season.       Judge went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Mets on Wednesday.

      Advice: Though the Yankees suffered through an ugly loss to their crosstown rival, Judge kept chugging along, smashing a 400-foot, two-run homer in the sixth inning for his team's only runs. The long ball was the slugger's 10th through 21 games in a monstrous June during which he's also produced 32 RBI. Judge is the league leader with 30 home runs on the campaign, and he's just the third player in MLB history to reach 30 homers before the All-Star break three times in his career, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.       Advice: Heim and Nathaniel Lowe hit back-to-back homers in the fourth inning, snapping a 12-game homerless streak for Heim. The outing was also Heim's first multi-hit game since June 5.       Helsley allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in a 4-1 win over Atlanta in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

      Advice: Helsley allowed two runs in Monday's game versus Atlanta, but he was able to keep his save streak going. The right-hander has converted his last 28 save attempts after blowing his first chance of the year. He's now at a 2.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 43:16 K:BB through 36 innings. Helsley has allowed six hits and issued 10 walks over 11 innings in June, but he's been scored on in just two of his 11 appearances this month, so his place as the Cardinals' closer is not in doubt.       Ryan Helsley tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save in the second game of a doubleheader against the Braves on Wednesday.

      Advice: Helsley was summoned to close it out in the ninth with a three-run lead against the Braves. He recorded the first out, then allowed two runners on with a single and a walk.       Advice: The veteran second baseman pilfered multiple bags in a game for the first time since May 2 while racking up multiple hits for the 11th time in June.       Jose Altuve went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and also stole two bases on Wednesday, powering the Astros to a 7-1 victory over the Rockies.

      Advice: As he’s done countless times in his legendary career, Altuve served as Houston’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, playing a key role in a four-run outburst in the seventh inning that ostensibly put the contest away. He got things going a couple frames earlier by reaching on a fourth-inning single before stealing both second and third base and scoring on Yainer Diaz’s run-scoring single. He also contributed a run-scoring single of his own in the ensuing frame before plating a run in the seventh inning courtesy of a fielder’s choice. The 34-year-old veteran fantasy stalwart has shown zero signs of slowing down and is really catching fire over the last few weeks, batting .365 (23-for-63) with three homers, 13 RBI and four steals over his last 15 games.
