      Rutschman went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

      Advice: Rutschman had a brief cold spell a couple of weeks ago, but he's bounced back well. He's hit safely in six straight games, going 9-for-25 (.360) in that span. The catcher is slashing .304/.342/.473 with 10 home runs, 38 RBI, 30 runs scored and one stolen base over 54 contests this season.     • Fans eight in no-decision
      Pfaadt (2-4) came away with a no-decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Pfaadt was solid in this one outside of a rough third inning in which he allowed all four of his earned runs courtesy of back-to-back triples. The 25-year-old right-hander has now pitched six or more innings in seven consecutive starts and has yet to pitch less than five innings in any start this season. The second-year pro has been inconsistent, pitching to a 4.32 ERA but his 5.1 K/BB and 1.08 WHIP highlight his ability to miss bats.     • Blake Snell (groin) expected to land on 15-day IL
      Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Yankees that Blake Snell is expected to land on the 15-day injured list after re-injuring his groin.

      Advice: Melvin noted that Snell will undergo an MRI exam on Monday to determine the extent of the damage, but it sounds like he’s going to be shelved for a while. Snell dealt with a similar injury near the end of April and wound up missing a month’s worth of action. The 31-year-old left-hander has been an unmitigated disaster for the Giants and for fantasy managers, going 0-3 with a 9.51 ERA and 1.94 WHIP over 23 2/3 innings in six starts on the season.       Luke Raley homered for the second consecutive day on Sunday, powering the Mariners to a 5-1 victory over the Angels in Seattle.

      Advice: Raley opened the scoring in this one with his 354-foot (110.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Griffin Canning in the fourth inning. The 29-year-old outfielder was also plunked twice in the ballgame — once with the bases loaded to drive in a run in the eighth inning. He then came around to score on Mitch Garver’s three-run double.       Luis Castillo delivered a dominant performance in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Angels, allowing just two hits and three walks over seven shutout innings.

      Advice: Castillo piled up six strikeouts in the impressive outing. The only real threat against him came in the fourth inning as the Angels used a pair of walks to put two men on with two outs for Jo Adell — who Castillo got to fly out harmlessly to center field. The 31-year-old hurler generated a staggering 21 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 13 of them on his fastball alone — while posting a strong CSW of 30 percent. He allowed four runs in each of his first three starts of the season, but he hasn't given up more than three runs in any of his last 10 appearances, nine of which went down as quality starts.
