    • Handed loss Wednesday
Curry (0-2) allowed two runs on three hits and struck out one without walking a batter over three innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Orioles.

Advice: This was Curry's first appearance since he was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Monday. He spared the Guardians' bullpen in Wednesday's contest, but solo home runs by Cedric Mullins and Ryan O'Hearn were enough to stick Curry with the loss. The right-hander has struggled in limited major-league action this year with a 5.74 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB over 15.2 innings across four appearances (three starts). Given his poor results, Curry could be optioned out again whenever Cleveland needs a fresh arm. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:34 pm
    • Swats third homer
Taylor went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a walk against the Yankees on Wednesday in a 12-2 victory.

Advice: Taylor's biggest contribution was a three-run blast in the sixth inning that essentially put the game on ice, giving the Mets a 10-2 lead. It was the outfielder's first homer since April 24 -- a span of 42 games and 94 at-bats. Taylor has made two straight starts in right field with Starling Marte (knee) on the injured list, so he may have a chance to turn around what has so far been a quiet first season as a Met. • Clobbers homer
Lowe went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an RBI single during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers in 10 innings.

Advice: Lowe teed off on Dallas Keuchel Wednesday, tagging the Brewers' starter for an RBI single in the second inning before launching a two-run shot off Keuchel in the fourth. The long ball was Lowe's first in 37 games and his third of the campaign. He's batting .257 with nine runs and seven RBI over 23 games in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
    • Smashes grand slam
Bauers went 1-for-4 with a grand slam during Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Rangers in 10 innings.

Advice: Bauers got the Brewers on the board in the third inning, plating Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich and Willy Adames on a grand slam off Nathan Eovaldi. The grand slam was the second of Bauers' career. Though he's been splitting time with Rhys Hoskins at first base, Bauers is batting .273 with nine RBI and seven runs in his last 18 games. • Drives in two
Schuemann went 1-for-2 with an RBI double and a sacrifice fly Wednesday against the Angels.

Advice: Schuemann hadn't logged an RBI since June 1 and drove in multiple runs for just the third time all season. Still, his productive day could've been even better, but Kyle McCann was called out at home due to runner's interference on Schuemann's second-inning double, preventing an additional RBI. Operating as the Athletics' everyday shortstop, Schuemann is batting 14-for-69 (.203) with a 27.8 percent strikeout rate in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:04 pm

    • Plates three in win
Neto went 2-for-4 with a three-RBI double and a run scored during Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Neto participated in four of the Angels' five runs Wednesday, highlighted by a go-ahead three-run double in the sixth inning off Austin Adams. The outing marked Neto's first three-RBI game of 2024 and was his second time in three games generating multiple hits. On the year, Neto is slashing .256/.307/.439 with 10 homers and 10 stolen bases over 284 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:03 pm

    • Goes three frames in spot start
Contreras didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Oakland, allowing one run on four hits with two walks across three innings. He struck out two.

Advice: After coming out of the bullpen in his first nine outings as a Halo, Contreras was expected to get up to four or five innings in Wednesday's start. However, he threw 61 pitches across three innings before getting yanked. Three of the four hits Contreras allowed went for extra bases. On the year, Contreras owns a 3.82 ERA with 31 strikeouts over 33.0 innings. It's unclear if he'll make another start, but there's not many alternate options on the active roster at the moment. If he does stick in the rotation, he'd likely pitch Tuesday in a rematch with the A's. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:01 pm

    • Fans eight in tough-luck loss
Estes (2-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Angels, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Estes set a career high in strikeouts Wednesday but fell one out shy of a second consecutive quality start. The 22-year-old was lifted from the contest in favor of Austin Adams without having allowed a run, but Estes was responsible for a pair of runners who'd come around to score later in the inning. On the year, Estes owns a 5.24 ERA with a 39:12 K:BB over 46.1 innings. He's scheduled for a rematch with the Angels early next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 pm
    • Records three-inning save
Houser picked up a save against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three batters over three scoreless innings.

Advice: Houser entered with the Mets up 10-2 and cruised the remainder of the way to notch the first save of his career. The right-hander threw 44 pitches in the outing, and he's tossed at least two frames in all but one of his eight appearances since returning to the bullpen May 26. Houser has thrived since making that transition, allowing just three earned runs across 20.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
