Flaherty is at a 3.01 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 100:11 K:BB through 77.2 innings over 13 starts this season.       Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw still managed to punch out seven batters on the evening while issuing three free passes. The Red Sox jumped on him in the opening inning, using run-scoring knocks from Tyler O’Neill, Connor Wong and Jaime Westbrook to push three runs across.       Advice: Semien got the Rangers on the board with an RBI double off George Kirby to make it 4-1 Mariners. In the top of the ninth, the star second baseman drove in two more, but the Rangers still trailed 7-5 after that one.       Advice: Flaherty received an anti-inflammatory injection on Monday and had a few extra days of rest to combat a back injury, but he looked good overall on Saturday. His four-seam velocity was down 1.5 mph, so that’s something to keep an eye on, but he induced eight whiffs on 31 swings for a 26 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW.
