    • Sent to 10-day IL
Abreu (right ankle sprain) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 3, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Abreu will be sidelined for a little over a week after spraining his ankle in the Red Sox's dugout Sunday. Per Alex Speier of The Boston Globe, Abreu is hoping to return after the minimum 10 days. Bobby Dalbec drew the start in right field Tuesday, but one of Rob Refsnyder and Tyler O'Neill (knee) should handle right field once O'Neill gets activated later this week. • IL stint imminent
Manager Alex Cora said Tuesday that Abreu (ankle) will be placed on the injured list, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Abreu twisted his right ankle in the dugout during Sunday's game and the injury seems to be severe enough to warrant a significant absence, although exactly how long Abreu will be out remains to be seen. Tyler O'Neill (knee) could return Wednesday to take Abreu's place on the roster and in the outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:45 am

    • Red Sox place Wilyer Abreu (ankle) on 10-day IL
Red Sox placed OF Wilyer Abreu on the 10-day injured list with an ankle sprain.

Advice: Abreu hurt his ankle during Sunday’s loss after sliding down the dugout steps in the game. He’ll miss at least a week, but his status going forward will be determined by testing, which manager Alex Cora reports is happening currently. Tyler Heineman is up from Triple-A Worcester to take Abreu’s place on the roster. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:38 am

    • Swipes ninth bag
Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: Hitting leadoff against Washington lefty MacKenzie Gore, Lindor got right back up after seeing an 11-game hitting streak snapped Sunday. The veteran shortstop has swiped three bags over the last five contests, giving him nine steals on the season, and over his last 15 games, he's slashing .339/.397/.516 with five doubles, two homers, seven runs and eight RBI as he puts a sluggish start to the season behind him. • Strikes out six in no-decision
Skubal did not factor into the decision in Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Skubal surrendered a leadoff home run to Marcus Semien in the first inning but held the Rangers in check over the next five and left the mound in a 1-1 tie. Skubal allowed at least one baserunner in each inning, but he was still able to earn a quality start despite not having his best stuff. Through 12 starts, Skubal, who has not walked more than two batters in any game this season, has posted a sparkling 1.97 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 86:13 K:BB and tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Brewers on Sunday. • Skubal strikes out six in no-decision Monday
Tarik Skubal allowed one run in six innings and got a no-decision in the Tigers’ 2-1 victory over the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Skubal gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out six. He managed to earn a quality start for the ninth time in 12 starts this season. Skubal allowed a leadoff home run to Marcus Semien, but that was the only run the Rangers could muster against him. His ERA is now 1.97 as he continues to push for the AL Cy Young award. The 27-year-old left-hander will face the Brewers at home this weekend. Rotoworld Monday, 7:29 pm

    • Battles through quality start
Littell struck out two and allowed three runs on 11 hits and one walk over six innings in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Orioles. He didn't factor into the decision.

Advice: Littell's day started by allowing a leadoff homer to Gunnar Henderson, but he somehow managed to keep the Rays in the game despite walking the tight rope throughout most of his six-inning effort. In total, Littell scattered a season-high 11 hits and 12 total baserunners while accumulating a season-low two strikeouts. Despite facing at least five Orioles batters in four of his six innings completed, Littell managed to walk away with a quality start, and his gritty performance kept the door open for the Rays to pull off the comeback win. Littell will look to make things a bit easier on himself during his next start, tentatively slated to take place against these same Orioles next weekend when the O's return the favor and make the trip to Tampa. • Nursing ankle issue
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Abreu twisted his right ankle in the dugout during Sunday's loss to the Tigers and is receiving treatment, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old went 1-for-4 with a run scored before he suffered the injury and was replaced by a pinch hitter during the ninth inning. Abreu will have Monday's team off day to aid in his recovery before the start of a two-game series versus Atlanta on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:17 pm

    • Davis Schneider with two more hits
Davis Schneider went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored, and RBI on Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Schneider came around to score on Daniel Vogelbach’s go-ahead, two-run double and seems to be in the middle of most Blue Jays rallies at this point. Their lineup has found more life since anointing him their permanent lead-off hitter and it would be shocking to see him out of that role any time soon. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:12 pm
