    • Alexis Díaz allows four to reach in earning save
      Alexis Díaz recorded his 15th save despite allowing two runs — one earned — in the ninth Friday versus the Brewers.

      Freddie Freeman singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 win over the Royals on Friday.

      Advice: With the score tied at 3-3, Freeman drove in a run with an RBI single to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 34-year-old has now driven in 42 runs, and nine of those have come in the first half of June.       Diaz allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk Friday while earning a save over Milwaukee.

      Advice: Diaz was tasked with holding the 6-3 lead in the ninth inning Friday and ran into some trouble. He walked in a run after an error loaded the bases and allowed what would've been the game-tying hit if not for Will Benson throwing out Jake Bauers at home. Diaz has converted eight straight saves and 15 of his 17 chances this season.       Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored on Friday night as the Yankees triumphed over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Volpe led off the fifth inning with a single, then swiped second and third base before scoring on Alex Verdugo’s RBI double. That would be his lone hit in five at-bats on the evening.       Jurickson Profar (knee) returned to the Padres’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Mets.

      Advice: Profar suffered a non-contact knee injury on a swing during Tuesday’s game and sat out on Wednesday as a precautionary measure, but he’s right back in his customary third spot in the Padres’ lineup and starting in left field on Friday night. He has been one of the biggest surprises of the first half of the season this year — slashing a robust .324/.424/.500 with 10 homers, 45 RBI and four stolen bases in 284 plate appearances.       Hamilton batted second and went 1-for-5 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 9-3 win over Philadelphia.

      Advice: Hamilton's good stretch of hitting led to him batting second for the second consecutive game against a right-hander, and the shortstop extended his hit streak to five games. Since mid-May, when manager Alex Cora started giving him regular run in the starting lineup, Hamilton has slashed .341/.378/.553 with 11 extra-base hits, nine RBI, 14 runs and 10 steals over 26 contests.       Advice: Henderson has two steals over 12 games in June, and he's gone 16-for-48 (.333) with three home runs and six doubles in that span. The shortstop has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 contests as he continues to provide all-around excellence from the top of the Orioles' lineup.       Seiya Suzuki went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base on Thursday.
