      Happ went 1-for-3 with two walks and a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

      Advice: Happ reached base twice via walks earlier in the contest, but it was his home run in the 10th inning that proved critical. The outfielder broke open a 3-3 tie with his 10th long ball of the year, and the Cubs held on for the victory.       Heston Kjerstad went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, a home run and three RBI against the Rangers on Thursday.



      Advice: Kjerstad’s home run was his first of the season. He started the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and his two-run home run off Jon Gray in the third inning gave the Orioles a 6-0 lead. Anthony Santander had the night off with Kjerstad playing right field. Baltimore has a glut of outfielders, but Kjerstad will at least rotate in and could start to see regular playing time with more games like the one he had on Thursday.

      Ian Happ hit a go-ahead homer in the 10th to help give the Cubs a 5-3 win over the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Happ gave the Cubs a 5-3 lead with a two-run shot off Luke Jackson to give Chicago the 5-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 29-year-old had been scuffling as of late with just two hits in his last 21 at-bats coming into the contest, but he was able to procure his 10th homer and 41st and 42nd RBI in this one.       Advice: No one in baseball is hotter than India, who leads MLB with a .571 average and is second in OPS (1.654) over the last seven days. He's hit safely in eight straight contests, going 15-for-29 with four walks, two steals, seven doubles, one home run, three RBI and eight additional runs scored.       Advice: The injury apparently surfaced during last week's series against the Angels, and it prompted his removal from Wednesday's contest in the sixth inning after going 0-for-2.       Joey Ortiz was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Rangers due to a neck issue.

      Advice: Brewers’ skipper Pat Murphy said after the game that Ortiz has been battling the neck injury for a while now, and that it didn’t occur when he ran into the tarp while chasing a foul ball on Wednesday.       Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with an RBI double on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

      Advice: India was responsible for manufacturing Cincinnati’s lone extra-base hit and run of the contest on Wednesday afternoon as they were unable to solve Luis Ortiz over six frames to open the game before relievers Kyle Nicolas and Aroldis Chapman came out of the bullpen to slam the door. It’s flown a bit under the radar, but India is playing some of the best ball of his career at the moment, batting .365 (35-for-96) with three homers, 20 RBI and four steals over his last 30 games.       Ortiz was removed from Wednesday's game versus the Rangers in the bottom of the sixth inning with an apparent injury, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. He went hitless in two at-bats before leaving the game.

      Advice: Ortiz ran into the tarp while chasing after a pop-up in the top of the sixth, and though he initially stayed in the game, he was lifted in favor of a pinch hitter in the bottom of the frame.
