      Advice: Marte delivered the go-ahead run in the seventh inning when his two-out single plated Corbin Carroll. Marte has rebounded nicely from an 0-for-22 skid in late May, going 11-for-28 (.393) with two home runs, two doubles, six RBI and five runs scored over the last eight contests. The Diamondbacks' offense could get a boost if the struggling Carroll can build off his three-hit performance Thursday, which would give Marte more run-producing opportunities.       Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.

      Advice: Correa got Minnesota off to a fast start with a solo shot off Marcus Stroman in the first inning. He added a sacrifice fly in the fifth to give him consecutive multi-RBI performances.       Corbin Carroll went 3-for-5 with a double, a steal and two runs scored as the Diamondbacks edged the Padres 4-3 on Thursday.

      Advice: It’s just Carroll’s second three-hit game of the year. All three of Carroll’s hits were legit, leaving his bat on a line at 108, 106 and 99 mph. It’s definitely his most encouraging game in weeks and maybe of the entire season. At .201, he finished the game over the Mendoza Line for the first time since May 12. The outfielder is slashing .201/.284/.291 with two home runs, 10 thefts, 20 RBI, 30 runs scored, seven doubles and four triples over 61 games in a so-far disappointing sophomore campaign.       Advice: Stanek got the save chance with Andres Munoz (back) unavailable Thursday. The right-hander didn’t pick up a strikeout, but he was able to lower his ERA to 3.52 while procuring his fourth save of the season.       Advice: Rutschman was responsible for the Orioles' first three runs Thursday, launching a solo shot off Yusei Kikuchi in the sixth inning before adding a two-run homer off Zach Pop in the eighth. Rutschman came into the day with just one home run in his previous 17 contests, though he's now hit safely in 10 straight games, going 15-for-42 (.357) in that span.
