It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment.       James Wood singled and walked in five plate appearances in his major league debut Monday against the Mets.

      Advice: The single came in his first big-league bat, as he managed to power a two-strike fastball through the left side of the infield (it helped a great deal that, because the Mets were shifted, it was Mark Vientos trying to field the grounder, rather than Francisco Lindor).
