• Homers, swipes bag
Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over LAA.

Advice: Ramirez took Griffin Canning yard in the sixth inning, getting the Guardians on the board and plating Andres Gimenez. The long ball was his sixth of the campaign, a total that trails only Josh Naylor -- who also homered Sunday -- for the team lead. He also notched his fifth stolen base, each of which came in the last 15 games. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

  • Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to injured list
Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Guardians plan to place Steven Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Top prospect Kyle Manzardo will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to replace him on the active roster. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue. The result of that exam is not yet known, so it’s hard to speculate just how much time the 26-year-old outfielder may stand to miss. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

  • Strikes out nine in quality start
Cortes did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Tigers. He struck out nine.

Advice: Cortes matched a season high with nine strikeouts as he allowed only four baserunners in the contest. Cortes shut out the Tigers through six but was pulled with one out in the seventh after allowing two base hits in the inning. Both runners eventually came around to score, tying the game and ending Cortes' bid to earn his second win. It was the fourth quality start in eight games for Cortes, who lowered his ERA to 3.72 with a 1.03 WHIP and 46 strikeouts through 48.1 innings. His next start is tentatively scheduled to take place next weekend when the Yankees travel to Tampa for a division showdown against the Rays. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

  • Blanks Rangers over five frames
Lynch tossed five scoreless innings, walking two batters and allowing two hits while striking out six in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Lynch was promoted from Triple-A Omaha ahead of Sunday's start and he certainly stepped up his game, blanking the defending champs over five frames. The left-hander was able to work around three baserunners in the first inning to set the tone and ultimately went on to pitch four more scoreless innings in his first major-league outing of the year. Lynch could remain in the starting rotation for Kansas City for the time being with Alec Marsh (elbow) still unavailable. If he gets another turn in the rotation with the big-league club, Lynch's next start is tentatively set to come on the road against the Angels next weekend. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

  • Takes loss in quality start
Canning (1-4) took the loss Sunday against Cleveland, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk across six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Canning kept a clean sheet until the sixth inning when Jose Ramirez launched a two-run home run to cap off a 10-pitch at-bat. The long ball was the first Griffin has surrendered in over 20 innings, dating back to an April 13 start against Boston. Griffin completed six innings for the first time all year, notching a quality start and giving up five or fewer hits for a fourth straight outing. he's set up to face the Royals on Friday. • Secures extra-inning win
Yates (3-0) earned the win after he pitched two scoreless innings, allowing a walk while striking two batters in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Royals.

Advice: Yates entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with the Rangers trailing 2-1 and he was able to work around a walk to keep it a one-run deficit going into the ninth. After Texas tied it up at 2-2, the right-hander returned for the following frame, setting the Royals down in order. The Rangers went on to win it in the 10th inning, earning Yates his third victory of the year. The 37-year-old has yet to allow an earned run this season while posting a 0.50 WHIP with five saves over 14 innings in 12 appearances. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago
  • Dominates with 12 K's
Skubal did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits over six innings against the Yankees. He struck out 12.

Advice: Skubal continues to dominate as the 12 strikeouts were a season high and marked the first double-digit strikeout effort of the campaign for the ace lefty. It was the sixth time in seven games Skubal has allowed two or fewer earned runs, as the outing raised his ERA to 1.90 with a 0.77 WHIP and 53 strikeouts over 42.2 innings. He's tentatively lined up to toe the rubber next weekend when the Astros come to Detroit for a three game set. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

  • Wyatt Langford (hamstring) heading to 10-day IL
Rangers’ manager Bruce Bochy told reporters after Sunday’s game that Wyatt Langford will be placed on the injured list on Monday with a hamstring strain.

Advice: Bochy termed the injury as slightly more severe than a Grade 1 strain and noted that the 22-year-old outfielder will be facing a 3-4 week absence. It’s a tough break for fantasy managers who will need to be sure to have an alternative option in place for the next month or so while Langford recovers from the injury. Ezequiel Duran started in his place on Sunday and will likely see increased action while Langford is shelved. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

  • Enters double digits in saves
Clase picked up the save Sunday against LAA, striking out two over a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Clase made quick work of Willie Calhoun, Brandon Drury and Matt Thaiss on Sunday, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side and pick up his 10th save of the campaign. Clase is one of five closers in double figures in the category and has walked just one batter across 17.1 innings of action. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago
