  • A’s put Lucas Erceg (forearm) on 15-day IL
Athletics placed RHP Lucas Erceg on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain.

Advice: Erceg is dealing with a mild forearm strain, according to Athletics manager Mark Kotsay, which seems to indicate that he’s not facing an extended absence. The 29-year-old righty has been a revelation this season in a set-up role ahead of flame-throwing stopper Mason Miller, posting a 2.86 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 27/8 K/BB ratio across 22 innings (21 appearances). • Allows four runs in no-decision
Soriano allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Soriano left the game in line for the loss, but Jo Adell's grand slam off the bench spared the right-hander from a second straight defeat. Soriano has allowed four runs in five of his outings this year, including three of his last five starts. He's at a 3.86 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 52:25 K:BB over 58.1 innings across 12 appearances (10 starts) on the season. The 25-year-old is projected to make his next start at home versus the Padres. • Grabs four-out save
Beeks struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

Beeks stayed in for the ninth and kept his line clean to earn his second save in three outings. He allowed a run in four straight appearances from May 22-27, allowing Tyler Kinley to work his way into the closer conversation, but Beeks is still in the mix as well. • José Soriano shaky in no-decision vs. Mariners
José Soriano gave up four runs in his six innings of work in a no-decision Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Soriano allowed seven hits with a couple of walks while striking out three. this could have been a much worse outing based on how things went early on, as he allowed three runs in the first before settling down. The 25-year-old has now given up four runs in back-to-back starts, but in both of those outings there have been quality moments for Soriano. He’ll try and show more consistency in his scheduled start against San Diego next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:03 pm

  • Jalen Beeks gets sixth save against Dodgers
Jalen Beeks didn’t give up a run and picked up a save Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s the sixth save of the season for Beeks, and the first save where he didn’t allow a run since May 13. The left-hander does have a 2.93 ERA, and he’s been one of the few pleasant surprises for the Rockies in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:45 pm

  • Sixto Sánchez lifted with lead in fifth
Sixto Sánchez yielded two runs in four-plus innings Friday in a no-decision against the Rangers.

Advice: Sánchez, who went without a strikeout tonight, was pulled with a 4-1 lead after giving up a double and a single to start the fifth. Declan Cronin took over then and did a nice job in allowing only one of the runners to score. Sánchez has completed five innings just once seven starts for the Marlins, and he’s still looking for the first victory of his comeback. His ERA stands at 6.06. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm
