    • Taj Bradley lit up for nine runs in loss to Orioles
Taj Bradley allowed nine runs across 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Bradley had some trouble keeping the ball in the yard in Baltimore. Ryan Mountcastle got the scoring started with a two-run blast in the first inning. Anthony Santander followed with a solo homer. Jordan Westburg then led off the second with the third home run for the Orioles. Baltimore would bring six more runs in, including another two-run blast by Ryan Mountcastle in the fourth, before Bradley was relieved. The 23-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 5.81 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 32/9 K/BB ratio across 26 1/3 innings. He currently lines up for a matchup against the same Orioles in Tampa Bay next Saturday. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

    • Mitch Keller fans eight in victory over Blue Jays
Mitch Keller delivered a dominant performance in Saturday afternoon’s victory over the Blue Jays, racking up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits and one walk on the day. The lone tally against him came in the sixth inning as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled, advanced on a line drive and raced around to score on a two-out single by Dan Vogelbach. That’s really the only time that they threatened. Keller generated 10 swings and misses on 106 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 7-3 on the season, he’ll tote an impressive 3.42 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 66/20 K/B ratio (73 2/3 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Twins. Rotoworld Today, 3:01 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Abrams was scratched from the Nationals' lineup prior to Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Abrams said that he jammed his shoulder while making a diving play during Friday's loss, per Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com, and it seems to be bothering him enough Saturday to warrant a day off. While Abrams recovers, Ildemaro Vargas will take over at shortstop and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 12:30 pm

    • CJ Abrams scratched Saturday with shoulder issue
CJ Abrams has been scratched from the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Guardians due to shoulder soreness.

Advice: It’s worth noting that Abrams remained in during Friday’s contest after jamming his shoulder attempting to make a play defensively. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but the Nationals clearly don’t want to take any chances here and are holding him out for precautionary reasons. The 23-year-old emerging star has been in a rut the last few days, going hitless (0-for-14) with eight strikeouts over his last three games. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment. Rotoworld Today, 12:28 pm

    • Day off Saturday
Mullins is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus Tampa Bay.

Advice: Mullins will get a breather after going 1-for-12 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored while starting the last four games. Colton Cowser will slide over to center field while Kyle Stowers enters the lineup in left field and bats eighth against the Rays. Rotowire.com Today, 9:21 am

    • Ronal Blanco takes first loss of 2024
Ronel Blanco took his first loss Friday after giving up four runs in 4 2/3 innings against the Twins.

Advice: Blanco walked three and gave up a two-run homer to Trevor Larnach. Apart from the time he was ejected for his sticky stuff, this is the first time this year that Blanco has failed to complete five innings. He’s still playable in mixed leagues for now, particularly since he’s about to face the Royals and White Sox in two starts next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:40 pm

    • Suffers first loss
Blanco (5-1) took the loss Friday against Minnesota, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Blanco faced 20 batters, marking a season low, not including his May 14 start against Oakland when he was ejected after three innings for a foreign substance. The Houston right-hander also yielded a season-high four runs, pushing his ERA up to 2.44 overall in 59 innings. Blanco is tentatively scheduled to make his next start against the Cardinals at home next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Fans seven in win
Bibee (4-1) allowed a run on three hits and a walk over 6.1 innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Bibee dominated in six shutout frames before Washington finally pushed home a run in the seventh. He's turned in three straight quality starts, dropping his season ERA from 4.34 to 3.74 during that span. The 25-year-old righty has allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his first 12 starts. He'll carry a 69:18 K:BB into his next start, which is expected to be at home against the Royals next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm

    • Tanner Bibee blazes past Nationals for win
Tanner Bibee allowed one earned run across 6 ⅓ innings in a 7-1 win over the Nationals on Friday. He struck out seven and walked one.

Advice: This was a tremendous start for Bibee mostly fueled by increased fastball velocity. His heater ticked up to 98 MPH and averaged 95.5 MPH, but tailed off in the seventh inning as the Nationals started to get around on him. This was the second time in three starts Bibee’s fastball averaged at least 95.5 MPH and keeping the velocity on that pitch up is the key to his success. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
