      Ryan Helsley tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save in the second game of a doubleheader against the Braves on Wednesday.

      Advice: Helsley was summoned to close it out in the ninth with a three-run lead against the Braves. He recorded the first out, then allowed two runners on with a single and a walk. A groundout put both runners in scoring position and brought the tying run to the plate with two outs. He Helsley struck out the final batter to end the game with his MLB-leading 28th save.       Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs across seven innings in a 4-2 win over the Guardians. He struck out four without walking a batter.

      Advice: Rodriguez’s changeup was especially lethal in this one: dropping three inches more than his season average and forcing five swings and misses. He ended his day on a beautiful one low and out of the zone to Brayan Rocchio that got him through seven innings for the second time in three starts.       Cal Raleigh clobbered a three-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Mariners to a 5-2 victory over the Rays.

      Advice: Raleigh put Seattle ahead for good in a low-scoring series finale at Tropicana Field by walloping a gargantuan 422-foot dinger to right field off Rays reliever Shawn Armstrong in the sixth inning. It was his lone hit of the contest, but he also drew a pair of walks as well. The 27-year-old backstop remains a liability in the batting average department, but he’s up to 14 big flies already and is on pace for his second consecutive 30-homer campaign.       Torres is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Mets.

      Advice: For the second game in a row, Torres was held hitless Tuesday in the Yankees' 9-7 loss, leaving him in a 2-for-29 slump at the dish over his last nine games. To make matters worse, Torres committed an error at second base and also didn't run out a grounder at full speed in the eighth inning, with the latter play not escaping manager Aaron Boone's attention, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Boone indicated that Torres is doing OK physically, but the skipper thought a day on the bench could be beneficial for the 27-year-old while he's in the midst of a rough patch.       Jung (wrist) said Wednesday that he expects to resume swinging a bat in a few days, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Jung was examined Tuesday in Phoenix by the doctor who performed his right wrist surgery back in early April. While the third baseman has had his activation from the 60-day injured list pushed back a bit due to inflammation in the wrist, he's been told that his wrist is sound structurally. Jung's return has effectively been ruled out through the weekend, but it's possible he'll rejoin the Texas lineup shortly after that.
