Mike Trout steals two bases in loss to Rays
Mike Trout went 0-for-3 with a run scored while stealing two bases in a 2-1 loss to the Rays on Thursday.
Advice: Both steals came in the sixth inning. It’s the first multi-steal game for Trout since May 20, 2018 and it’s a flashback to when the 32-year-old was one of the best producers of thefts in the sport. With those pair of swipes he’s up to five on the season, and it’s possible — but far from a guarantee — that Trout is going to be much more active on the bases than he has over the past few seasons. On top of those steals, Trout is now slashing .257/.357/.662 over the first 19 games of 2024.
