    • Stumbles vs. Oakland
Sale allowed eight runs on nine hits and a walk over four innings against the A's on Saturday. He struck out four.

Advice: It was a rough day for Sale, who allowed six runs in his first two innings before Brent Rooker added two more with a home run in the fourth. Sale hadn't allowed more than one run in six straight starts prior to Saturday while recording eight or more strikeouts in each of his last five outings. Overall, the veteran left-hander is 8-1 on the season with a 3.06 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 82:10 K:BB across 67.2 innings. Sale will look to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Washington. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

    • Rooker blasts 12 home run against Braves Saturday
Brent Rooker went 2-for-5 with a run scored, a double, a home run and four RBI against the Braves on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Rooker’s 12th of the season and he’s now up to 39 RBI. His 166 wRC+ is among the top 10 hitters in all of baseball this year. Rooker is one of the few Athletics that carries fantasy value and he’s showing that last year’s 30 home run season wasn’t a fluke. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Christian Walker powers D-Backs with grand slam
Christian Walker went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk to power the Diamondbacks to a 10-5 win over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: With the bases loaded in the third inning, Walker took Sean Manaea deep for a grand slam to drive in the first runs of the game. The 33-year-old slugger is up to 12 homers with 38 runs scored and 38 RBI while slashing .262/.360/.471 across 250 plate appearances. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

    • Sale allows eight runs in no-decision
Chris Sale allowed eight runs in four innings and got a no-decision against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Sale allowed nine hits, walked one and struck out four. He was due for a bad start after a dominant stretch where he won his last seven consecutive starts. He had his worst outing of the year against the Athletics. It’s the only time Sale was unable to complete five innings in 11 tries this year. His ERA increased from 2.11 to 3.06. The 35-year-old left-hander will look to get back on track against the Nationals on the road next week. Rotoworld Today, 4:24 pm

    • Sitting versus southpaw
Gimenez is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Nationals.

Advice: Gimenez will take a seat as Cleveland faces left-hander Mitchell Parker on Saturday. Gabriel Arias will draw the start at second base and bat seventh against Washington. Rotowire.com Today, 11:20 am

    • Homers in loss
Walker went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-9 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Walker hit the second of a back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning -- he followed Joc Pederson's three-run blast -- but they weren't enough to erase Arizona's five-run deficit. The home run was Walker's team-leading 11th to go along with a team-high 34 RBI. He's hit safely in eight of nine games, going 11-for-35 with six extra-base hits (three homers), four RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 5:31 am

    • Laces five hits, drives in five
Yelich went 5-for-6 with a stolen base, two doubles, five RBI and one run scored in Friday's win against the White Sox.

Advice: Yelich collected his first five-hit game of 2024 and fifth of his career, achieving the feat for the first time since Aug. 17, 2019. The former MVP has been resurgent since returning from a back injury May 8, hitting .321 (25-for-78) with one homer, six stolen bases, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored. Overall, Yelich is slashing .325/.406/.564 in 134 plate appearances while anchoring a formidable first-place Brewers lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm
    • Christian Yelich drives in five to beat White Sox
Christian Yelich went 5-for-6, drove in five runs and stole a base in a 12-5 win over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: The Brew Crew were able to pick up 23 hits and six walks against the overmatched White Sox. Yelich was responsible for nearly a quarter of those, and two of them were double, giving him six on the season. The steal was the eighth, and Yelich continues to impress when on the field in 2024 with a .325/.406/.564 slash. It’s fun to see a the MVP version of Yelich thus far. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm
    • Records first steal in loss
Crawford went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a loss to the Astros on Thursday.

Advice: The veteran shortstop was one of only two Mariners to reach base multiple times on a quiet night for the team's offense. Crawford also snagged his first steal of the campaign and has reached safely in eight of 11 games since his return from the IL, but he still carries a paltry .208/.301/.328 slash line across 143 plate appearances for the season.
