    • Slugs another clutch home run
O'Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning win against Detroit.

Advice: One day after belting a decisive three-run homer in the eighth inning, O'Hoppe tormented the Tigers again with a game-tying solo blast in the eighth frame. The budding star ranks fifth among MLB backstops with 12 long balls on the campaign while slashing a strong .273/.325/.478. O'Hoppe has knocked in at least one run in five of his past six contests and has collected seven total RBI during that span. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 am

    • Logan O’Hoppe homers again Saturday vs. Tigers
Logan O’Hoppe slugged a game-tying solo shot on Saturday, leading the Angels to an eventual extra-inning victory over the Tigers.

Advice: O’Hoppe’s eighth-inning blast -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- came off Los Angeles reliever Logan Vest to open the frame. He finished 2-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in the extra-inning affair. The 24-year-old’s promising, albeit injury-shortened, showing from last year has carried over into this season as he’s on pace to get pretty close to the lofty 30-homer mark, which is extremely rare for a modern-era backstop. He’s gone deep three times in his last six games and five times overall since June 1. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 am

    • Goes yard twice in rout
Machado went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Saturday's 11-1 rout of the Red Sox.

Advice: The veteran third baseman launched a two-run homer in the third inning and a three-run blast in the fifth, both off Tanner Houck. Machado has hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games, batting .415 (17-for-41) with four of his 10 homers on the season over that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm

    • Solo shot in Saturday's loss
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Garcia's blast got the Rangers within a run in the eighth inning, but they failed to tie the game. The outfielder has hit safely in eight of the last nine games, going 10-for-35 (.286) with three homers and four RBI in that span. He's still slashing just .220/.280/.422 on the year with 16 long balls, 44 RBI, 43 runs scored, six stolen bases and 12 doubles across 79 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm

    • Steals 40th bag in win
De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: De La Cruz hit an RBI double in the third inning and followed it up with his 40th steal of the season. He then tripled and scored in a six-run fifth frame for the Reds. After going eight games without a steal, the 22-year-old has now swiped a bag in three consecutive contests and continues to lead the league in the category. He struck out three times to bring his league-leading season total to 110, but De La Cruz is nonetheless batting .255 with 14 home runs, 37 RBI and 55 runs scored over 355 plate appearances. • Manny Machado homers twice in rout of Red Sox
Manny Machado homered twice and drove in five runs in an 11-1 blowout victory over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Machado blasted both homers off Tanner Houck, a three-run shot in the fifth and a two-run blast in the second. It’s the first multi-homer game for the 31-year-old in 2024, but five of his 10 homers have come thus far in the month of June. Machado’s also picked up multiple hits in his last three games and six times since June 19, and appears to be righting the ship after a disappointing first two-plus months of the campaign. • Elly De La Cruz collects 40th steal vs. Cardinals
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a triple, double, a run scored, one RBI, and a steal in the Reds’ 9-4 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: De La Cruz brought a run in to score with a double in the third inning before stealing third base for his MLB-leading 40th steal of the season. He then tripled in the fifth and scored on a fielding error. The 22-year-old shortstop is slashing .255/.346/.474 with 14 homers, 55 runs scored, and 37 RBI across 355 plate appearances. • Won't require rehab stint
Harrison (ankle) will throw one more bullpen session before rejoining the rotation during the Giants' six-game road trip that begins Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Harrison hasn't seen any game action since June 10 due to a sprained right ankle, but he'll be ready to return to the Giants' rotation after completing several bullpen sessions. While it's unclear when he'll be slotted to start, the 22-year-old is most likely to pitch during a three-game series in Cleveland next weekend. Prior to the injury, Harrison turned in a 3.96 ERA and 68:22 K:BB across 77.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:17 pm

    • Kyle Harrison unlikely to require rehab start
Kyle Harrison (ankle) is not expected to require a minor league rehab start before rejoining the Giants’ rotation.

Advice: Harrison threw a bullpen session without issue on Friday. He’ll repeat the process again in a few days and if all goes well it sounds like he’ll be cleared to rejoin the Giants’ rotation. The 22-year-old hurler holds a 3.96 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 68/22 K/BB ratio over 77 1/3 innings through his first 14 starts on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:08 pm
