      Rodon (9-4) took the loss Friday as the Yankees fell 8-1 to Atlanta, surrendering eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

      Advice: The Atlanta offense came to life at the wrong time for Rodon, as he got taken deep by Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley and Matt Olson before exiting the game after 93 pitches (56 strikes). The southpaw hadn't served up multiple homers in a start since May 2. After a run of seven straight quality starts, he's been tagged for 12 earned runs in 8.2 innings over his last two outings.     • Andrew Abbott strikes out season-high 10 in win
      Andrew Abbott fanned 10 while allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings Friday in a win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: The 10 strikeouts topped his previous season high by two. Abbott yielded homers to Connor Wong and Jarren Duran, but no further damage was done. There still isn’t much at all to like about Abbott’s peripherals, but he has reduced his walk rate, and this is the right year to be a big flyball pitcher. He’s currently 6-6 with a 3.40 ERA, even though he’s given up 15 homers in 84 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Friday, 10:41 pm
       
    • Carlos Rodón touched up by Braves
      Carlos Rodón allowed seven earned runs on Friday against the Braves. They had 11 hits while Rodón struck out just three and walked two.

      Advice: Rodón was never comfortable in this one. New York is in the midst of a massive heat wave and Rodón spent most of his time rubbing the ball for a better grip and wiping sweat from his face. His slider was all over the place, which could potentially be explained by poor grip. Rodón will look to right the ship next week in Toronto. Rotoworld Friday, 7:26 pm
       
    • Crushed for 10 runs in second loss
      Imanaga (7-2) took the loss to the Mets on Friday, allowing 10 runs on 11 hits and one walk with three strikeouts over three-plus innings.

      Advice: Imanaga was hit hard early and often, surrendering six runs on three home runs in the first two innings and another run in the third. He was unable to record an out in the fourth frame and was charged with three more runs, resulting in the worst outing of his major-league career. In total, Imanaga allowed 11 hard-hit balls, and the velocity on each of his pitches was at least one mph below his season averages. Imanaga's ERA rose from 1.89 to 2.96 with a 1.10 WHIP and 81:12 K:BB over 79 innings. He'll look to rebound in a matchup with the Giants next week. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:10 pm

      Shota Imanaga was tagged for 10 runs and 11 hits in 3 1/3 innings by the Mets on Friday.

      Advice: With his velocity down 1-2 mph on all of his pitches, Imanaga was crushed today, giving up three homers and 11 hard-hit balls in all. He was effective in his previous two starts, but this makes three out of five outings in which he’s struggled; he’s allowed 21 earned runs in those five outings after giving up a total of five in his first nine starts. The velocity is something to watch; he’s been really effective throwing at 92 mph at the top of the zone, but 90 mph might not get it done there. Rotoworld Friday, 2:36 pm

      Brown (4-5) earned the win against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

      Advice: The only run scored against Brown came on an Andrew Benintendi solo homer in the fourth inning. Otherwise, Brown was solid again -- all six of Chicago's other hits were singles, and the right-handed hurler didn't issue any walks for the second straight outing. Brown had an awful 9.78 ERA through 23 innings across his first six starts this season, but he's since lowered that mark to 4.72. He's been especially impressive of late, racking up six straight quality starts and limiting his opponents to one run over 19 frames while posting a 22:4 K:BB across his past three outings.       Bibee (5-2) earned the win against the Mariners on Wednesday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out 12 over six scoreless innings.

      Advice: Bibee was dominant, generating 20 swinging strikes on 93 pitches and surpassing last week's career high in strikeouts with 12. Bibee had allowed seven total runs in his first two June starts, but he bounced back in a big way Wednesday and has registered 30 strikeouts over 16.1 innings in three June outings. On the season, Bibee owns a 3.65 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 99:21 K:BB through 81.1 innings and tentatively lines up against the Orioles early next week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:49 pm

      Hunter Brown held the White Sox to one run with six strikeouts over six innings to earn the win on Wednesday.

      Advice: Brown has been fantastic over his last several starts. The only run he allowed Wednesday came on a solo homer by Andrew Benintendi in the fourth inning. It was the only run he’s allowed over his last three outings. Brown scattered six other hits while striking out six batters to zero walks.     • Tanner Bibee strikes out career-high 12 in win
      Tanner Bibee struck out 12 batters in six shutout innings on Wednesday in an 8-0 win over the Mariners. He scattered three hits and walked just one.

      Advice: This was Bibee’s second straight start where he struck out double digit batters - the first two times of his career. His slider and curveball were both lethal while his fastball velocity stayed above 95 MPH and induced five swings and misses. His fastball has been hit hard this season with opposing hitters slugging .581 against it and its -14 Run Value is the lowest for any pitch single pitch in the league. Seeing it this effective is a great sign for Bibee as he looks to stay hot. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:12 pm
