    • Resting Saturday
Grissom isn't in the Red Sox's lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Grissom has gone just 1-for-18 across his last five contests, so he'll sit out Saturday in order to regroup. David Hamilton and Ceddanne Rafaela will make up Boston's middle infield while Grissom is on the bench. Rotowire.com Saturday, 12:44 pm

    • Moves up order
Smith batted third and went 1-for-3 in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Smith, who made a 10th consecutive start, batted out of the three hole for a second straight game. Earlier in the week, he batted cleanup. He's been an under-the-radar producer for the Rangers, ranking second among the team's regulars with a .782 OPS, and he has been rewarded with a promotion in the order against right-handers. • Carlos Correa goes 2-for-4 against Rangers in win
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a double against the Rangers in Friday’s win.

Advice: Correa’s single checked in at 113.9 mph, making it his hardest-hit ball of the season by three mph. The double was pretty good, too; it was hit 390 feet and would have been a homer in 16 parks, according to Statcast. Correa is at .276/.366/.466 in 134 plate appearances this season. It’s not thrilling, but it is very good in a year in which offense is down. Rotoworld Friday, 10:05 pm

    • Doubles twice in loss
Betts went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a walk in Friday's loss to the Reds.

Advice: Betts led the game off with a single, knocked an RBI double in the second inning and added another double in the fourth. He entered Friday in a small slump, going 4-for-22 (.182) over his previous six contests. Despite the skid, he's hitting .291 through 20 games this month. Betts is slashing .338/.438/.554 with 25 extra-base hits through 240 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:01 pm

    • Swipes two bags
Kim went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Advice: Kim seemingly has a green light to run right now -- he's logged five steals over his last five games, going 5-for-15 with five walks in that span. The shortstop is up to 13 thefts on 14 attempts this season, putting him roughly on pace to match his total of 38 steals in 2023. Kim has a .216/.335/.369 slash line with six home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored, four doubles and two triples over 52 games, but his recent hitting suggests he may be turning things around. Kim still figures to hit in the bottom half of the order most of the time. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:47 pm

    • Ha-Seong Kim steals two bags against Reds
Ha-Seong Kim stole two bases while going 1-for-3 with a walk against the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Kim was also thrown out stealing for the second time this season, but the pair of thefts do bring his season total to 13. That’s a solid number, obviously, but his .216/.335/.369 slash has left a lot to be desired. Despite those poor numbers he does have six homers and 22 RBI, so we’ll call Kim’s 2024 campaign a mixed bag. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:32 pm

    • Launches fourth home run
Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Correa extended Minnesota's lead to 2-0 with two outs in the sixth inning with a solo shot off Jake Irvin, his fourth of the year and second in three days. The 29-year-old Correa has a hit in five straight games, going 5-for-17 with a 1.133 OPS in that span. He's now slashing .268/.362/.455 on the season with 13 RBI and 18 runs scored through 130 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:40 am

    • Getting breather Wednesday
Kim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Though double-play partner Xander Bogaerts will be in store for a long-term absence after he was diagnosed Wednesday with a fractured shoulder, Kim's absence from the lineup appears to be little more than a maintenance day. Tyler Wade will cover shortstop in Kim's stead. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:52 pm
