    • Managing inflammation
Rangers GM Chris Young said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) is dealing with tendon inflammation and classified a potential return on the current road trip, which runs through Sunday in Baltimore, as "ambitious," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down for the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he returned to Texas to be evaluated further Tuesday. Young indicated the expectation is that Jung's inflammation could subside within a few days, so the third baseman's return from the injured list may not be pushed back signficantly. • Returning to Texas for evaluation
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) returned to Texas to be evaluated and "make sure everything's fine," Kennedi Landry of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down over the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he apparently wasn't able to resume taking live batting practice Monday as hoped. Bochy didn't rule out a return before the end of the currently road trip, which finishes up this weekend in Baltimore, but for now Jung's immediate outlook is up in the air as he gets checked out. • Josh Jung (wrist) undergoing further evaluation
Josh Jung has been sent back to Texas to undergo further evaluation on his surgically-repaired right wrist.

Advice: Not great. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Jung didn’t take batting practice on Tuesday and declined to offer an updated timetable. The hope was that the 26-year-old third baseman would be ready to return at some point this week, but he’s headed back to Texas to undergo further testing after experiencing soreness last week in his surgically-repaired wrist. There should be an update on his status at some point later this week. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

    • Josh Naylor receives rare day off Tuesday vs. O’s
Josh Naylor is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: It looks like merely a routine off day for Naylor, who hasn’t sat out since May 22. The 27-year-old slugger boasts an .823 OPS with a career-high 20 homers and three steals through 73 games so far. It’ll be Gabriel Arias at the hot corner on Tuesday night. • David Fry in Tuesday’s lineup at DH vs. Orioles
David Fry (elbow) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Fry is back in Cleveland’s lineup for the second straight contest after making an early exit from Sunday’s game agains the Blue Jays due to right elbow inflammation. It obviously doesn’t seem like a massive concern going forward. Rotoworld Today, 1:11 pm

    • Taking seat against LHP
Naylor is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Naylor will get his first day off since May 22, avoiding a matchup with lefty Cole Irvin on Tuesday. Gabriel Arias will bat eighth and play first base. Rotowire.com Today, 12:40 pm

    • Three more hits, including walk-off
Duran went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 7-6 walk-off win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Duran figured prominently in the come-from-behind win, in which Boston scored five times in the final two innings. Thanks to a miscommunication by Toronto's left side of the infield, his eighth-inning popup fell to the ground for a double followed by David Hamilton's two-run home run. An inning later, Duran produced the walk-off run with a single. The outfielder has multiple hits in five consecutive games (12-for-23) and has hit safely in 14 straight. Rotowire.com Today, 6:19 am

    • Good start goes to waste
Steele allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out nine over 7.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: The downside to Steele's outing was that two of the hits on his line were solo home runs from Matt Chapman and Nick Ahmed. The southpaw hadn't given up a homer in any of his last five starts, and the Giants were able to continue their comeback push against the Cubs' bullpen to deny Steele his first win of the year. Despite the lack of positive results, he's logged five quality starts in 11 outings with a 3.08 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 65:16 K:BB over 64.1 innings. Steele is projected for a tough road matchup at Milwaukee this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:05 pm

    • Cubs bullpen can’t hold lead for Justin Steele
Justin Steele was denied a win yet again after allowing two runs in 7 1/3 innings Monday against the Giants.

Advice: Steele struck out a season-high and departed with a 4-2 lead, but it failed to hold up. The result left Steele winless through 11 starts this season, even though he’s turned in quality starts in five of his last six outings. He’s 0-3 with a 3.08 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:50 pm
