    • Bibee picks up seventh win against Royals Saturday
Tanner Bibee allowed two runs in six innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 7-2 victory over the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Bibee gave up four hits, walked none and struck out three. The win was his seventh of the season and third in a row. It wasn’t a big strikeout game for Bibee, just another solid outing. He has a 3.47 ERA and 3.29 xFIP on the year. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Giants at home next week.

    • Tobias Myers gets quality start, no-decision
Tobias Myers went six innings while allowing three runs and not factoring into the decision Saturday against the Cubs.

Advice: Myers dealt with quite a bit of traffic Saturday, as he allowed seven hits and also issued a pair of walks. He was able to work around that traffic for the most part, thanks largely to six strikeouts and a couple of double plays. The 25-year-old gave up a two-run homer to Michael Busch in the first, but it was (mostly) smooth sailing from that point on. Myers does see his ERA jump up to 3.26, but that’s still a very solid number for the right-handed hurler. He faces Colorado next, and it’s worth pointing out that start will take place in Denver. • Gallen throws six shutout innings in win vs. A’s
Zac Gallen allowed no runs in six innings and got the win in the Diamondbacks’ 3-0 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Gallen gave up one hit, walked one and struck out seven. Even though the Athletics offense is nothing to write home about, Gallen was excellent in his first major league start since May 30th. Gallen has finished in the top five of the Cy Young award voting each of the last two years and appeared to have similar form in this start. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres on the road next week.

    • Nestor Cortes gives up three runs in loss to Jays
Nestor Cortes allowed three runs with five strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: The Blue Jays got to Cortes right away as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. took him deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. Alejandro Kirk drove in a third run with a double in the fourth inning. Cortes put runners on the corners with one out in the fifth before his day was done at 87 pitches. He struck out five. The 29-year-old southpaw will take a 3.51 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 98/19 K/BB ratio across 105 innings into a start against the Red Sox in New York on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 pm
    • Elly De La Cruz collects 40th steal vs. Cardinals
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a triple, double, a run scored, one RBI, and a steal in the Reds’ 9-4 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: De La Cruz brought a run in to score with a double in the third inning before stealing third base for his MLB-leading 40th steal of the season. He then tripled in the fifth and scored on a fielding error. The 22-year-old shortstop is slashing .255/.346/.474 with 14 homers, 55 runs scored, and 37 RBI across 355 plate appearances. • Throwing bullpen Saturday
Manager Craig Counsell said Saturday that Brown (neck) will throw a bullpen session Saturday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Brown was cleared to resume throwing last week, and Saturday will mark his first time working of a mound since landing on the injured list June 11 with a left neck strain. The 24-year-old righty remains without a firm return timeline, though he will likely require another bullpen session or two before moving onto facing live hitters. Rotowire.com Today, 12:07 pm

    • Back in action Saturday
Winker (knee) is starting in left field and batting third Saturday against the Rays.

Advice: Winker was battling knee problems after getting his foot caught in the outfield grass during the first inning of Friday's game, but he appears to be in good enough shape to play Saturday. The 30-year-old has slashed .260/.377/.412 through 302 plate appearances this season, though he may see limited work in the outfield after top prospect James Wood officially joins the Nationals for his MLB debut Monday. • Jesse Winker in Saturday’s lineup against Rays
Jesse Winker (knee) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Winker is back in left field and batting third for Saturday’s showdown after suffering a right knee contusion during the bottom of the first inning of Friday’s game when he attempted to catch a fly ball near the left-field wall. His right cleat got caught in the turf, causing him to stumble and fall into the wall, which led to his exit from the contest. He’s apparently feeling well enough to get back in the lineup, which is a relief for the Nationals, and fantasy managers as well. Rotoworld Today, 10:37 am
    • Ben Brown (neck) throwing bullpen on Saturday
Ben Brown (neck) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday.

Advice: Brown has resumed throwing just a couple weeks after landing on the shelf with a neck strain. The 24-year-old righty appeared to be putting it all together this season with a pristine 3.58 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 64/19 K/BB ratio across 55 1/3 innings (15 appearances, eight starts) before hitting the injured list. He’s worth stashing in deeper mixed leagues until he’s ready to return in a couple weeks. Rotoworld Today, 10:24 am
