    • Dansby Swanson (knee) likely back on Tuesday
Dansby Swanson (knee) is likely to be activated for Tuesday’s series opener against the Braves.

Advice: Swanson continues to ramp up baseball activities and it sounds like he’ll be activated early next week when first eligible to face his former club at Wrigley Field. The 30-year-old shortstop hit the shelf last week with a right knee sprain. Rotoworld Today, 8:33 am

    • Dazzles in first win of season
Luzardo (1-3) picked up the win Friday, allowing five hits over six scoreless innings in an 8-0 victory over the Mets. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

Advice: After a couple first-inning hits got Francisco Lindor to second base, Luzardo locked in and retired 11 straight batters. All five hits off the southpaw were singles, and he fired 59 of 89 pitches for strikes in his second quality start of the year. After a bumpy first few weeks to the season and then an IL stint, Luzardo appears to be back in form, delivering a 15:1 K:BB in 11.2 innings over two starts since rejoining the rotation. He'll carry a 5.02 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Brewers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:53 am
    • Mashes homer No. 10
Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: He crushed a Tanner Banks fastball down the left-field line on the first pitch he saw to lead off the sixth inning. Stanton has stayed healthy so far this season and is already at 10 long balls through 39 games, giving him a shot at his first 40-homer campaign since 2017 if he can avoid length injury absences. His .250/.297/.500 and 33.5 percent strikeout rate -- which would be the worst mark of his career if it doesn't come down -- indicate how one-dimensional the 34-year-old has become at this stage of his career, however. • Three hits in win
Perez went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Perez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and got one base three more times in Friday's victory. The veteran catcher is batting .294 (15-for-51) with seven extra-base hits and eight RBI contests in May. That's actually down from his overall numbers -- Perez is slashing a stellar .335/.403/.557 with eight home runs, 34 RBI, 18 runs scored and 11 doubles over 176 plate appearances. He last hit above .300 for a full season in the abbreviated 2020 campaign, so there is a high risk that he cools off eventually in 2024, but he's been excellent over the first quarter of the season. • Two hits, steal in win
Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Gimenez has warmed up dramatically with four straight two-hit games, though he has just one extra-base hit in that span. The second baseman is 9-for-20 (.450) with two steals and four RBI during a five-game hitting streak. The surge has him up to a .267/.326/.364 slash line with two home runs, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and seven thefts through 42 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:49 pm

    • Jesús Luzardo strikes out seven, earns win
Jesús Luzardo completed six innings in the Marlins 8-0 win over the Mets on Friday. He struck out seven, walked none, and allowed seven hits.

Advice: Luzardo has been fantastic since returning from the IL, striking out 15 in 11 ⅔ innings across two starts putting a rough start to the season behind him. However, be advised his fastball averaged just 94.7 MPH Friday. That was his lowest mark in a single start this season and after he’s already spent time on the shelf with elbow tightness. • Colton Cowser drives in two as Orioles crush M’s
Colton Cowser singled, doubled, walked and drove in a pair of runs on Friday night as the Orioles crushed the Mariners.

Advice: Cowser clubbed a two-run double off of Bryce Miller in the first inning, extending the Orioles’ early advantage to 4-0. With his two-hit attack, the 24-year-old outfielder is now hitting .263/.348/.509 with six homers, 22 RBI and three stolen bases over 40 games on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm
    • Placed on IL with oblique strain
The Dodgers placed Muncy on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain.

Advice: Muncy last played Wednesday against the Giants and was left out of the starting lineup Thursday against the Reds. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed that Muncy sustained a Grade 1 right oblique strain during batting practice before Thursday's game, and the veteran outfielder will not swing a bat for two-to-three days, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. Before landing on the IL, Muncy was slashing .223/.323/.475 with nine home runs and 28 RBI over 167 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:03 pm

    • Dodgers place Max Muncy (oblique) on 10-day IL
Dodgers placed INF Max Muncy on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain.

Advice: Well that certainly came out of nowhere. The 33-year-old slugger has been a very capable run-producer in the middle of the Dodgers’ lineup this season — slashing .223/.323/.475 with nine homers and 28 RBI through his first 40 games He’s going to miss at least a couple of weeks — and it could wind up being longer depending on the severity of the strain. Miguel Vargas was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:01 pm
