    • Posts steal
Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 10-6 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Suzuki has gone 8-for-27 (.296) during his six-game hitting streak, though he hasn't posted an extra-base hit since May 15. The outfielder's steal Wednesday was his second of the campaign. He's slashing .254/.312/.389 with four home runs, 16 RBI, 19 runs scored and five doubles over 31 contests. Suzuki isn't having a poor year by any means, especially when factoring in his four-week absence with an oblique injury, but he's also not standing out in any particular area. • Shohei Ohtani homers, plates three in blowout win
Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Wednesday in the Dodgers’ lopsided win over the Mets.

Advice: Ohtani extended Los Angeles’ early lead with a fifth-inning RBI single before clobbering a two-run homer -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- off Mets reliever Jorge López in the eighth inning. The 29-year-old two-way superstar holds an astronomical 1.010 OPS in his Dodgers debut so far. That’ll work. Rotoworld Today, 5:28 pm

    • Yu Darvish leaves start with hamstring tightness
Yu Darvish was pulled from Wednesday’s start against the Marlins after just three innings due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Advice: Before exiting, the 37-year-old hurler had given up three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk. He’ll head for further evaluation to determine the severity of the injury, but you’d have to think that his next start — at a minimum — are in jeopardy at this point. Rotoworld Today, 4:25 pm

    • Dealing with hamstring tightness
Darvish was removed from his start Wednesday against the Marlins due to left hamstring tightness, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Darvish was pulled after three innings Wednesday, during which he allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out two batters. Manager Mike Shildt said the right-hander is undergoing imaging, and the Padres should offer an update on his status once the results come back. Rotowire.com Today, 4:21 pm

    • Falls to St. Louis
Montas (2-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Cardinals, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Montas earned his first quality start in his last four outings, though he'd still wind up with the loss as the Reds couldn't break through on offense until the seventh inning. The 31-year-old Montas hasn't earned a win since April 3, after starting the year 2-0. His ERA sits at 4.60 with a 1.40 WHIP and 33:18 K:BB over 10 starts (47 innings) this season. Montas is currently slated for a road matchup with the Rockies in his next start early next week. Rotowire.com Today, 2:36 pm

    • Frankie Montas delivers quality start in loss
Frankie Montas lost Wednesday after allowing three runs in six innings against the Cardinals.

Advice: It’s the third quality start of the year for Montas, but it wasn’t enough to get him back into the win column for the first time since early April. He’s 2-4 with a 4.60 ERA and an unimpressive 33/18 K/BB ratio in 47 innings. Rotoworld Today, 1:40 pm

    • Swipes bag Tuesday
Machado went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-0 victory versus Miami.

Advice: Machado used his legs to help generate San Diego's final run in the eighth inning, hitting a one-out single and stealing second base before coming home on a Donovan Solano double. The single extended Machado's hitting streak to seven games, and he has four doubles along with three RBI and a .320 batting average during that span. However, the third baseman is in the midst of a lengthy homer drought -- he's now gone 22 games since his last long ball and has just five home runs through 223 plate appearances this season. • Another stellar showing
Peralta didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing one run on three hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out 11.

Advice: Peralta got no run support again Tuesday, with the Brewers being held scoreless until the bottom of the ninth. Still, the 28-year-old generated 23 swinging strikes in less than six innings and tied his season high in Ks. His only blemish was a solo homer by Michael Busch in the third inning. After yielding three or more runs in three straight starts to open up May, Peralta has yielded two runs -- both solo homers -- with 18 strikeouts in 12.2 innings during his last two starts. He's set up for a start Sunday against the White Sox. Rotowire.com Today, 6:29 am
